Pinturas Buldestres | 8a 🫟🪨

Wiiiiiiii 🤸🏽‍♂️ definitely a strong contender for the most aesthetic boulder I've ever done. The holds, the movement, the light 🤌🏽🫦

This line always looked so intriguing to me. The bowl/wave shape of the rock and the 100's of tiny holds make it look super unique and I just couldn't get me head around the movement just by watching videos. Well turns out it's reeeeally nice. Techy, tensiony, footwork dependent and it really rewards you when you play ball.

Ending on a spicy throw at the end is always kinda frustrating... until you get it of course and then it's the greatest feeling ever. Catching it felt like my hand was getting a big friendly hug from the rock 🤗✨

As usual, the support and psych from the crew is what ultimately gets you up that boulder 🫶🏽 @justvietngh @allisonlang1 @ellismission 🫶🏽

Thanks to the masters @vidalix.zm @ian_eisenberg @hyunwoo_seoul for the fun sessions and invaluable beta tips 👊🏽

Foxy Lady | 8a 🤯

7 years ago this combination of letter and number wouldn't have meant much to me. Today it means oh so many things. But beyond anything it means gratefulnes for everything this journey has given me so far, and the faith in where it will guide me next 🥹

In the words of a recent video 'MUGA' from Ashima Shiraishi:

"The frustration from a fall reveals both the futility in this endeavour and the beauty in having the faculties to care so deeply about climbing a rock"

What a privilege to have gotten the chance to fall off this beautiful sequence.

Thanks @brewclimber for extra footage and @thealifraser for your support and making this one possible in many many ways 🙏🏽 by @pabsdoyle

Dr. Robotics | 7c+ | 👨🏻‍⚕️🤖

New milestone on such a joyous and mad line... ~8 meters long, ~32 moves, 12 toe hooks, 1 big boy swing, 1 pumpy top-out 👾

The first half of the route (sped up x2) is all about getting into a flow and doing the sequence as efficiently as possible; before getting to the big double toe hook sequence where it spices up to max effort full span swing crux. Then it's keeping it together on a power endurance fight to the top. My hands completely numbed out by that point from the blood circulation being cut out during the swing 🙌🏾 There's so much tension building up in the body, it made topping this thing out the most euphoric psych ever 🤸🏽‍♂️

Big up @justvietngh for the psych and video 📷

IWANTU - New song out today on Ciao Cacao 🪩🕺🏽

Proud of this one and it was oh so fun to make. Leaning into a more sensual groove & lyrics, and even including a reggaeton section felt very new and funny, but I always admire how some artists like Troye Sivan or Daniel Cesar are so direct in their songwriting without it being cringe; so I thought I'd try to give that a shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

IWANTU is about the feeling of being wanted. Of being chosen. Of expressing desire and of reciprocation. In both the most and least narcissistic way - it feels good to be wanted 🫵🏽

I wrote the beat, lyrics and 90% of the song structure already 5 years ago. I thought it sounded kinda 'Little Dragon' inspired (hence naming the project 'lil drag beat') but I couldn't quite glue some of the sections together under that vibe. I always kept coming back to it over the years trying out different ideas, eventually realising (mostly inspired by The Marias) that I could swap in a reggeaton beat midway and sing some lines in Spanish. So my reggeaton alter ego was born, and it was only appropriate to get @adlsgnd to sing the rest of the parts 🎤
