A year ago today Éireann took its final bow at The Peacock Theatre @sadlers_wells closing our debut run on the West End. What a week it was! Standing ovations, great reviews, and of course a lot of craic along the way. We cannot wait for Éireann to return to the stage in 2027.

A production is only as strong as the condition of the people delivering it.

This season, alongside the work audiences will see, new music across A Taste of Ireland and A Celtic Christmas, new costumes, new merchandise, and a significant investment in technical equipment, we have invested just as heavily in the people carrying it.

Our cast now go on the road with:

• Movement development and injury prevention support
• Access to mental health and wellbeing practitioners
• Recovery services built around the touring schedule
• People and culture support that sits outside company management
• New uniforms and professional headshots

Touring is demanding, physically and mentally. Long drives, unfamiliar stages, months away from home... Building proper support around that is not a benefit, it is the infrastructure that allows a world-class ensemble to perform at that level night after night, in every market, for months on end.

We may not be the biggest company touring, but we’re always aiming to be one of the best to work for.

An empty theatre holds its breath.

No audience yet. No lights, no music, no company in the wings. Just a room waiting for everything that is about to fill it.

Soon the studio doors open, the work begins, and the road stretches all the way to Christmas. Months of movement, city after city, night after night.

A dancer kneels to meet a few young faces already waiting in their seats. Behind her, the company settles into the quiet before a show. Two generations of performers in one room, one on stage, one still dreaming of it.

We’re shaped by these moments as much as any audience is. Every wide-eyed kid on the floor is a reminder of why we started, and maybe a glimpse of who comes next.

Five words carry the weight of everything we build. Precision. Impact. Scalability. Integrity. Ambition.

They are not statements for a page. They are the decisions made in rehearsal rooms, on load-ins, and in the quiet hours before a house opens. A production is engineered long before an audience ever feels it, and every choice, from choreography to lighting to the logistics of moving a show across borders, is made in service of a single idea. That what happens on stage should stay with people long after the curtain falls.

The show starts hours before the audience arrives. Trucks at the loading dock, road cases through corridors most patrons will never walk, lighting rigs going up, sound being tuned to a room the crew has never worked in before.
