28 years of being unhealthy and overweight, but 3 years of putting my health and fitness first. 3 years of constant growth and self-development, not just physically, but mentally too.

It hasn’t always been a consistent or straightforward journey. There have been plenty of back and forths, highs and lows, moments of doubt and moments where I questioned if I was capable.

But on August 30th, 2026, I completed something that once felt almost impossible. I ran a World Major Marathon… 42.2kms!

I am so unbelievably proud of myself, and if you are currently too scared to start or you’re currently experiencing a low point or a standstill in your journey, just know that you CAN do hard things and that it is never too late to change your life.

And if you’re on this journey alone, just know that fitness classes, run clubs and online communities will help you in ways you wouldn’t think possible, and I am always 1 message away to be your hype girl if it ever feels too scary or hard 🫶🏻

Have you ever wondered why @lskd have such a loyal community? Because they’re all about the people and it shows in everything they do… grab a snack because it’s gonna be a long one and I’m not even sorry 😬👇

Not only do we love the products, but feeling a sense of community is what really brings us back again, and again, and again (okay… they have a lot of drops 🤭)

The WA team invited me to their ✨ wedding ✨ sorry, Karrinyup store open, and gifted me their matching set to be an honorary team player for the day. I was able to experience a side of LSKD which I’ve only really seen through their posts, think mini 1% Better Throwdown vibes 👏🏻

Not only did they celebrate themselves for all the hard work they’ve accomplished, but they spent the day celebrating their community which was the real head turner for me. Can you name a customer base that can recite back a company’s values the way in which the LSKD community can? or even tell you the names of majority of people that work in the HQ? because I definitely can’t 🤨

Honestly, I didn’t get much footage because I was having too much fun but some of my favs were the dance circle in the middle of the store, the team rah-rah, meeting such lovely people in all different roles of the business, but my personal favourite was running the line.

My own personal fitness journey started out extremely isolating, so finding a community like this has helped me in ways I can’t put into words. From the amazing people I follow online where we have met through our love of LSKD, to the WA team that have been so kind and supportive by even going as far as leaving me a voice note during my Sydney Marathon, I’m so appreciative of every single one of you that I have connected with over the last year 🥹

Sorry for the novel but ya girl is feeling sappy. There is a lot about my past that I haven’t shared online, my 45kgs weightloss being the lighter part of it but I’m just grateful to be so genuinely happy in life and I wanted to document this point in time 🫶🏻

I tested my new @asicsaustralia Gel-Nimbus 28’s on my 29km easy run today, which has been my longest run to date, and second longest run of the marathon training block.
They were extremely comfortable and stable, these will be my new go-to shoes for easy runs for sure 🤭🫶🏻
