@justinesch27 went OFF in his first full season as a Pred! 🐆

He lead the league in Home Runs (12), RBI (27), and OPS (1.803). Although he likely won’t beat out Burkel for MVP, he will without a doubt earn this year’s Silver Slugger award.

The future is bright with Justin Esch in our lineup. 🔥

Well this isn’t how I thought I’d be making this post this year. (small rant incoming)

To call this season a failure frankly would be an understatement for how talented this roster was. In a year where the league was seemingly wide-open after the departure of multiple all-stars, this was our best shot. If you were to tell me before slate 1 that Justin Esch would hit 12 homeruns and be our best hitter, I would’ve thought we’d have won at least 10 games. And the sad part is, 10 wins was completely within reach. We lost 6 games (yes, SIX) by 1 run this season. Flip half of those and we’re sitting at 9-6 with a possible 1st round bye in the postseason. I want to say we were just unlucky, but we also just flat out underperformed. It feels like we have the same problems every year: we have 1 or 2 guys have MVP caliber seasons, and the rest of the team slacks JUST enough to keep us out of being a top contender. Changes are going to have to be made this offseason, and that starts with the management. Kracht and Warda are going to have to make tough decisions if we want get out of this state of mediocrity.

On the bright side, we’ll have a top 2 pick in the upcoming draft. Whatever move we make HAS to be a hit; this team’s future quite literally depends on it.

As for this account, I plan to keep it going for the 2027 season. Next May will mark FIVE years of running this account, which is just insane to think about, and I want to thank you all for supporting me throughout that time; your support is what keeps me motivated to keep it going. Time has moved very fast these past 5 years, and I’m at a point now where my responsibilities of life are taking more time and energy. Because of this, 2027 could POTENTIALLY be the last year I run this account. Nothings official yet, and the end of the 2027 season is still very far away, but I just wanted to be transparent with you all.

Again, THANK YOU ALL for your support this season. I know it ended in disappointment (yet again), but best believe WE WILL be back ready to compete for a title again in 2027! 🐆
