happiest 7th birthday to the king of our hearts and the king of our pack!

Mr Wilt - I have come to believe that you are not a Komondor at all but you’re actually 50% unicorn and 50% angel in a beautiful corded coat! Every day you bring a smile to our face and every day we wonder how we got so lucky to have been chosen to care for you! We’re so not worthy!! Thank you for gracing us with your presence!

With love and admiration,
Your peasants taken in Texas by @packofblairs

happiest birthday to our sweet Velly girl ❤️

this year for her birthday Velma got a new pair of eyes (or laser eyes as we like to call them)! at the beginning of the year we noticed her left eye seemed cloudy but at the time our primary vet wasn’t concerned and recommended monitoring it. about six months later her vision began rapidly declining and by the time we saw an ophthalmologist two weeks later she was almost completely blind. after a lot of consideration and weighing our options we decided that cataract and lens replacement surgery would ultimately give her the best quality of life. she had the surgeries exactly a week ago today and has been slowly getting back to herself! I’m sure getting 17 eye drops a day isn’t exactly how she envisioned spending her birthday but we’re hoping soon all of this will be a distant memory and she will be happier for it 🥰
