THE VERGE rehearsals have begun at The Public Theater!

Last week the Fiasco community gathered at LuEsther Hall with cast, crew, staff, and friends for a meet-and-greet along with design presentations. We are fortunate to be surrounded by so many sharp and innovative collaborators to bring this unsung Susan Glaspell 1921 classic to you all starting October 27th.

INTRODUCING THE CAST OF SUSAN GLASPELL'S THE VERGE!

This fall, we're partnering with Fiasco Theater to celebrate a hidden American classic: THE VERGE by Susan Glaspell, Pulitzer Prize winner and founder of the Provincetown Players!

In Glaspell's 1921 masterpiece, directed by Jessie Austrian, we meet botanist Claire Archer (Miriam Silverman) on her quest to create a new life: a plant unlike any that has ever come before...By turns witty farce, devastating philosophical debate, and scathing feminist cry, THE VERGE defies genre and pierces the bounds of theatrical realism.

Don't miss your chance to experience this rarely produced, ahead-of-its-time classic, beginning Oct 27 at The Public! Get your tickets now: thepublic.nyc/Verge 🌱 by @pacotolson

Surrounded by friends and collaborators, the Fiasco community gathered for a joyous Open Your Ears reading of a new Crystal Finn play: REALLY REALLY REALLY.

Directed by Fiasco company member Paco Tolson and featuring company members Jessie Austrian, Noah Brody, Ben Steinfeld, and Emily Young, REALLY REALLY REALLY is a play about acting, and loving, and what’s really real, really.

While much of our work has been focused on celebrating the classics in new and exciting ways, we are starting to venture more strongly into developing new works too! REALLY REALLY REALLY has been a wonderful step in that direction. Thank you Crystal for letting us explore your brilliant play.

We look forward to seeing you soon,
All of us at Fiasco

Happy birthday to my dear sister Lena! No matter where she goes she brings the party with her! She is such a huge part of my life and I’m so glad we have each other on this journey. Things are dark and grim everywhere you look, but Lena is a master at bringing others through it and onto the bright side with a laugh or a song or a funny story. I am the proud recipient of four decades of those laughs and songs and stories, all of them steadying and preserving me to this day. Here’s to a true leader of dogs and people, a sun spirit, a chef, and a lover of burps and Weird Al. To my sister! by @pacotolson

Got to share the stage with some truly wonderful people for a reading of Saint Joan by George Bernard Shaw this week. Bravo to @davidreedstaller and @gingoldgroup for bringing us all together and @lilyriopelle for directing such a beautiful evening. Shaw’s work continues to shock and delight! Zoom in and get as starstruck as I was to be in this group of legends…! taken in MAD | Museum of Arts and Design by @pacotolson
