lemon-aid stand this weekend was so wholesome ☀️ we laughed, we sipped herbal brews, we drew with chalk, we talked about the world we actually want to live in and raised money and awareness for local mutual aid

if you’re crashing out you might just need to tap into community. care networks are and have always been here. there’s power and love right on your block. it’s time to find your lane in the movement and lock in. we need the dreamers, the lovers, the healers, the strategists, the storytellers, the artists, the world builders, the weavers, the way showers to step more fully into their power and help usher in the brighter, more just and loving world that’s calling for us. we’re the ones we’ve been waiting for!

We’re excited to announce the Faery Good x Pact Collective Lemon-Aid Stand 🧚🏽‍♀️💛

let’s keep cool, connected and enjoy some nostalgic treats with an herbal twist while supporting local mutual aid initiatives with @pactbk_ 🌿

there will be lemon balm lemonade, iced herbal tea, along with handcrafted popsicles, vegan fudgesicles and cookies ofc!! 💖🍪

come out and connect with your neighbors, bring a friend, learn about mutual aid and herbs that naturally cool the body, all while tapping into childlike wonder ✨

20% of all sales will be donated to Pact Collective, a registered 501c3 that serves as a fiscal host for nearly 20 NYC-based grassroots organizations that make our city a safer and more caring place. the simple things can be the most powerful! getting people together and organizing, talking about what matters, and connecting with neighbors. it’ll be sweeeeeeet 🫶🏾

We are saddened to learn about the unexpected closure of the Open Collective Foundation. This news undoubtedly represents a significant challenge for the many communities that have relied on their infrastructure for years.

Important Note: It is crucial to understand that the Open Collective Foundation (OCF) is a separate entity from two other Open Collective-related organizations: Open Source Collective (OSC) and Open Collective Europe (OCE). OSC and OCE are not dissolving and remain financially stable.

As per the official OCF announcement, collectives currently hosted by them will need to choose one of the following options:

- Close out their collectives after spending down any remaining funds.
- Transfer their collectives and funds to another fiscal sponsor.
- Donate remaining funds to another charitable organization.

Please remember: This transition only applies to collectives specifically hosted by the Open Collective Foundation. The majority of open source projects on the platform are hosted by the separate, financially secure organization, Open Source Collective (OSC).

Key Dates for OCF Hosted Collectives:

- March 15, 2024: Last day to accept donations.
- June 30, 2024: Last day for collectives to have employees.
- September 30, 2024: Last day to spend or transfer remaining funds.

Pact welcomes mutual aid and grassroots groups seeking a new fiscal host to apply with us. We understand the significant impact of this closure and are committed to supporting communities throughout this transition.

If you wish to explore other fiscal sponsorship options, please reach out to generalinquiries@opencollective.org. They will verify that your selected sponsor is a 501(c)(3) organization and ensure proper due diligence for a smooth transition.
