Still coming down and back to reality after this epic friends and family reunion/celebration. Much gratitude for old besties @coachangelina and new @sabrina_smith09 , and the chance to show mama bear how to do #vegas! Grateful for friends/family like @randygmusic26 , @flats_the_flounder1 , and Pasan for literally pulling me out of a hole when I’m down. Very successful #namiata rescue mission in the middle of a cold night at altitude. Still cannot believe how little damage to both my body and the car. I’m sore as hell, but #schrothracing belts def saved the day. Stay tuned for the repairs and resurrection. #racecardaily taken in Angeles Crest Highway by @paddyledaddy

Been rippin’ Angeles Crest for over 15 yrs without incident, but yesterday she called me out. Went too deep into a tight right hander (a missing street sign didn’t help), inside front locked up, and under steered off the road as I fought to regain cornering grip. The car went airborne for maybe 30 ft horizontally as it fell about 25 ft down into a valley before coming to a very sudden stop. 6 pt FIA race harness did it’s job, and I am a little sore, but just fine. I’ll post a part II about the secret midnight extraction of the car, but the car has shockingly little damage given it went all dukes of hazard. I’m just glad to be walking! 🙏 taken in Angeles Crest Highway by @paddyledaddy

Fun fact: If my eyes were better at age 18, I’d have joined the military to fly fighters. Glad I didn’t go down that path, but happy to finally be learning how to fly a tin can :) Instructor says no barrel rolls... yet ;) taken in Whiteman Airport by @paddyledaddy
