🎾 3 of the biggest mistakes beginners make in padel

Just starting out? Avoid these three common mistakes and you’ll improve your game much faster 👇

1️⃣ Poor positioning – Where you stand on court is just as important as what you do with the ball. Learn when to move forward, when to hold your position and how to work as a pair.

2️⃣ Volleying behind the service line – Don’t rush the net from the wrong position. If you’re behind the service line, give yourself time and look to build the point rather than forcing a volley.

3️⃣ Always going for a winner – You don’t need to hit a winner every shot. Padel is about patience, consistency and creating the right opportunity to attack.

Small changes can make a huge difference to your game.

3 mistakes beginners make when playing off the glass 🎾

If you’re struggling with your shots off the back glass, check these three things:

1️⃣ Preparing your racket correctly
Get your racket ready early so you have time to react and control the shot.

2️⃣ Facing the glass
Don’t turn your whole body towards the glass. Stay in a position that allows you to see the ball and play your shot naturally.

3️⃣ Not letting the ball get back in front of you
Give the ball time to come off the glass and get back in front of your body before playing it.

Small adjustments can make a huge difference to your game. 👊

Save this for your next session and give them a try.

🎾 SHOT OF THE MONTH: THE LOB

This month, we’re breaking down one of the most important shots in padel when you’re defending — the lob.

A well-executed lob can help you turn defence into attack, giving you the time and space to move forward and take control of the point.

But get it wrong? It can quickly become a high-risk, low-reward shot. 🎯

Dave breaks down the key coaching points to help you get more out of your lobs and use them with confidence.

👇 What shot do you need help with next? Let us know in the comments.
