Over the last couple of months, I had the pleasure of testing the @pademelon.cc CS.1 for @roots_distribution .

Installation was quite straightforward and, having not read any of the marketing around it before riding, the difference was immediately noticeable. 🫡 The easy adjustability of the damping force is a great benefit of the CS.1, letting you adjust on the fly and test different settings every run.

Doing back-to-back runs on my local, the ability to hold lines more predictably, reduced side-to-side feedback through the handlebars and significantly less oversteer, resulting in improved traction, had me impressed.

As someone who’s always a bit hesitant with the latest “gimmicks”, I was genuinely surprised and hooked by the Pademelon and can’t wait to get my own soon!

Since this isn’t a gear review channel, I had to make a custom carbon adjuster for it, inspired by the Motion Control adjuster on my long-saved-for Boxxer back in 2010.

E-bikes give you more laps, but that extra chassis mass is putting more force into your hands than a regular mountain bike.
