Yoga is my purpose, my dharma. There are no small offerings. Kindness is abundance in any form and size. I am always struck by the abundance and kindness yoga has brought into my life. We are all a part of something special.

May we all practice to clear our vision so that we truly see the miracles that are laid at our feet.

Last Sunday my classmates and I — Team Snowflake — taught our first class together at Satsang Yoga. We began by chanting, “May all beings everywhere be happy and free.” Our shala was packed!

At my UPenn 55th reunion in Philly. Such fun making new friends out of old friends. And a spontaneous reprise of my roll as a cheerleader. 😁 by @padrefurthur

Jazz Fest Day 2 was dominated by John Batiste. Joy-filled musicianship. Starting with the Blind Boys from Alabama (Amazing Grace using The House of the Rising Sun as melody) he featured about 50 people on stage with him at various points. A great choir, exciting dancers and a great young band. The videos don’t do it justice but you can feel the extraordinary energy. Instantly in the conversation of Top Ten live shows I’ve ever witnessed. Enjoy! by @padrefurthur

Back at the Fest in NOLA. Charlie Musselwhite (age 80) brought Chicago Blues here with the great guitars of GA-20. Glad to see my addiction can be fed! by @padrefurthur

Our reception for VADM Nancy Lacore (Congressional candidate in SC1) was a a joy and a revelation. After she was “retired“ by the SecDef last year for no stated reason (because she was a powerful woman who commanded and cared for the 60,000 sailors as a 3 star in the the Navy Reserve) this former helicopter pilot moved here with her husband Pat, also a helo pilot, to be near one of their six(!) children. She said she first took the oath to “support and defend” the Constitution at age 19. Her life of patriotic service has always been to the nation, not a person or a political party. She’s done her job around the world with foreign leaders and at our embassies, as well as in Washington on both sides of the aisle. If we can elect her, Nancy will be the highest ranking officer ever to serve our (military) community, continuing with uncommon intelligence, courage, experience and political savvy. by @padrefurthur

The final ballgame of my spring, delightfully joined by brother, Tom. Gerrit Cole, on the way back from Tommy John surgery, pitched an inning in the Yankees win. by @padrefurthur
