Because it’s officially been about five months since I took my jersey off for the last time, I thought it was finally time to say goodbye to the sport that has been such a big part of my life since I was just a little girl.I started playing club volleyball when I was 11 years old, not knowing how much it would impact the next 11 years of my life. From the extremely early mornings and long practices, to the highest highs and the lowest of lows, this game taught me more than I could have ever imagined. It pushed me, challenged me, and ultimately helped shape me into the person I am today.I am incredibly grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every opportunity this sport has given me. The relationships and memories I’ve built because of volleyball are something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.It is still so hard to believe that chapter is over, but I know this sport will always hold such a special place in my heart. Couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who was part of the journey along the way❤️ by @paige.pickering
