A queen of wolves with the fire of dragons. After her madness sparks into fatal flames, Signy Volsung finds herself locked away in a psychiatric facility, where her past blurs with torturous treatments that do nothing to cure her unraveling mind. But when her father shows up a year later with her new husband-to-be, Signy soon realizes she has only just begun to learn the meaning of insanity. Geir Geatulf, a rival heir and childhood companion who owns most of the city and wants nothing more than to see her family dead, now calls her wife and brings her into the safety of his family’s enchanting gothic estate. But their marriage contract isn’t what it seems, and they’ll need to work together if they want to stop the murders ravaging their city. If Signy can’t remember her past through the madness of her mind, she won’t be able to stop the cycle of violence that haunts the innocent, and if Geir can’t put aside his agenda and death grip on control, there’ll be no hope of survival for either of their families. They’re bound by more than just vows”

📚: Merciful Carnage by Sara Hashem
Book 1 in The Golden Silhouette duology, releasing February 2, 2027 ☀️🦂🦂🦂🦂

Gut wrenching | Complicated | Beautifully Written |

This is an absolute 5⭐️ read and undeniably one of my favorite reads of the year. Sara’s writing is so beautiful. She has such rich descriptions that, at times, it physically hurt to read. I was honestly blown away. This story is so moving and emotional I’m really not sure what to do with myself.

I do not have the right words to convey just how badly you need to add this to your TBR, but you do. (Check triggers, this is a dark adult fantasy)

Forever grateful for receiving this ARC. Thank you so much to Sara & @hachetteus 💛
I cannot wait for book 2.
