My testimony has been on my heart for a while now, and it’s by far the best story I could tell you. My entire life, cheer has been my everything. Any time I had the chance to be upside-down, I was. It was my passion and the thing I relied most on. Three years ago, I tore my ACL for the first time. It completely destroyed me. I spiraled into this dark place, full of anxiety, hurt, and fear. I felt like I had nowhere to go and no one who could understand my pain. That was until God met me in the middle of it all. He showed me who He was. That first recovery taught me patience, joy, and just how faithful God is. That doesn’t mean that there were no frustrations; the biggest of those was the popping that would occur every once in a while. It was a hard pop, swelling, and struggling to walk for a few days, then everything would go back to normal. Over and over again. New MRIs, new X-rays, new tests. Nothing could explain what was happening. I felt desperate and hopeless all over again. The fifth pop in July 2023 led to a second opinion. On August 1, I was told that my ACL was retorn, and it had been. It was torn in everything single mri, however, my doctor decided not to bring attention to it. After the initial hit of hurt, anger, and fear, we decided that a two-step revision was the best way to fix this. I would love to tell you that my first response was “God got this,” but it wasn’t. It took me time, prayer, and a whole bunch of asking God what I should even do next. But God said he would carry me through. I knew with all my heart that God would be just as faithful to me this time as he was the first. So I trusted him. Now here, I am able to tell you that I’m almost 6 months post-ACL revision surgery! I have 12 big scars covering my knee. To most, they may be scary or ugly-looking. However, to me, they each individually prove God’s faithfulness to me.When people see or ask questions about them, I get to tell the story of a sinner, lost and afraid, with no where to turn, who was saved. God has been so intentional during this process and His goodness was so evident. From the moment I met both of them, I knew I couldn’t do life without them! Gia is genuine, kind, and so easy to talk to. Reagan is joyful, fun, and so sweet! The absolute best littles for me! To the PNM about to start recruitment,
Recruitment week is officially here! I’m sure you’re nervous and anticipating everything this week will hold. I know I was. To the girl who never had sisters, the girl who is moving far from home, the girl who felt alone although she had friends, the girl who felt that she never received the amount of effort she gave to others, the girl who wants to serve, the girl who wants to lead, the girl staying in her hometown, or the girl who just wants an outlet… know that you aren’t alone. Each woman that you speak to this week has been in your shoes. Each coming from a different town, family, and background. We understand you and we care for you. This week, we open our doors and hearts to you. I pray that as you walk into Sigma Kappa, you feel the joy, peace, and love that it has brought me. I pray that you feel seen, cared for, and loved. We have prepared and anticipated your arrival!

My hope for you is that you find the place that allows you to grow, that brings you friends who care deeply for you, and that gives you a community you can count on (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). Most importantly, know that everything works out for your good (Romans 8:28). You will end up in the exact place God wants you to be. Take comfort in that (Jeremiah 29:11). I pray that you find your home away from home, with women who will challenge you and help you become the person you want to be.

Freshmen year🌈💘💐💌
A perfect time to share what the Lord is teaching me! Being present. Present where my feet are.

I’m a worrier, a stressor, a planner, I always have been. When it comes to the unknown or a big change, it throws me for a loop. As you can imagine, graduating highschool and planning to go to college was a pretty rough time. I didn’t know how in the world I was ever going to completely change my life around. Go to a different school, meet new people, get a new job. But here’s what I found. I didn’t have to change my life around, because God already had it figured out. When my trust and my planning went from “I have to figure this out” to “I know who holds tomorrow”, thats where freedom was found. Every class, every person, every encounter, God set in front of me. He placed me in the exact place, in the exact moment that HE needed me to be in. There is rest, peace, and joy at the feet of the Father. You do not have to have it figured out. You are fully known, fully loved, and fully clothed to do exactly what God made you to do.

One of my biggest dreams come true! The Lord is faithful and intentional. His plans are far greater than any I could have made myself. Cheer has been my passion for as long as I can remember, getting to share that with the sweetest 22 girls has been the biggest blessing. @dwcsvarsitycheer , thank you for welcoming me and being the best team. I’m so thankful for each of you!
