I debated posting this—but then I realized this is simply another form of character development. 🎭✨Most people know me as the makeup artist and designer working behind the scenes, creating characters and helping other people transform. But this weekend, I had the opportunity to step into the spotlight and perform as my alter ego…LYRIC.❤️‍🔥Creating characters is what I do for a living—but this time, I got to become one.Becoming Lyric reminded me that makeup isn’t just transformation. It’s storytelling. It’s freedom. It’s confidence. CHRISTIE SMITH: FROM CONCEPT TO CAMERA 🎬✨@demimoore There’s something magical about seeing hours of character work unfold in just a few seconds.This time-lapse captures the creation of Christie Smith from I Love Boosters @iloveboostersmovie —a glimpse into the artistry, collaboration, and attention to detail that goes into bringing a character to life.What begins as a blank canvas becomes a fully realized person, with every choice helping tell her story. Makeup isn’t just about appearance; it’s about building identity, revealing personality, and supporting the vision of the world around the character.One of my favorite parts of working as Makeup Designer is watching these transformations happen day after day. Still pinching myself.Being entrusted with the opportunity to serve as Makeup Designer on I Love Boosters @iloveboostersmovie has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. To help create a world this bold, unapologetic, imaginative, and visually rich alongside so many brilliant artists is something I will never take for granted.My deepest gratitude goes to @bootsriley for his visionary storytelling and for allowing me the creative freedom to contribute to this incredible universe.
