Today marks the end of my first year as a full time artist! I’m 45, why did I wait to long! This reel is almost everything that I’ve painted over the last year (missing about 15-20 pieces that I either didn’t photograph 🤦🏻‍♀️or can’t show). I’m not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this! I am overwhelmed by the relationships, demand, and joy this year has brought. Welp, this might be my favorite mural, like ever. It’s at least top 3! I got the most amazing opportunity to paint vintage scenes for a really special place with a ton of history. I got the opportunity to paint this beautiful stairway and a couple other projects (photos coming soon). It took me 5 days to paint and about a month of obsessing. If I’m being honest, I was secretly super nervous to paint with the scaffolding and glass railing but the homeowners provided an amazing crew to make me feel safe the entire time. About 10 minutes into it, I was really comfortable and basically now love painting on scaffolding. To say the past 2 weeks of projects have been a dream, would be a serious understatement. by @paintedbysarahpowell
