West Midtown Restaurant Week is taking over Good Day Atlanta this morning.

Tune in at 9:20 a.m. as Chef Steven Satterfield joins Paul Milliken live from The Painted Duck, highlighting one of the restaurants taking part in this week’s celebration.

The Painted Duck is offering a $20 special featuring your choice of Pulled Pork or Smoked Beef Brisket Sliders with Duck Phat Fries, plus your choice of cocktail.

🎳 WHAT IS DUCKPIN BOWLING?
The mini version of regular bowling. Smaller balls with no finger holes, so little hands can actually roll them. Shorter pins. Three rolls per frame instead of two, so nobody’s turn ends in tears. Ask for bumpers, they can turn them on just for your kid’s turns. Thanks for having us @paintedduckatl

🎯 THE PART NOBODY TELLS YOU
You only pay for the lane. Every other game is free: Belgian feather bowling, horseshoes, knuckleball, toad in the hole, shuffleboard, air hockey, a basketball shootout, and snookball, which is pool played by kicking soccer balls across a giant table. Snookball was the runaway favorite with my kids.

🍟 THE FOOD
Restaurant quality food you order straight to your lane. Chicken fingers, tots, and chips with dips are the reliable kid orders. There is a kids menu!

⚠️ PARENT WATCH-OUT
The restrooms are shared rather than split by gender, but every stall is fully private and enclosed. Worth a heads up so your kid isn’t caught off guard.

This place has got game! 🦆🎳 @paintedduckatl! Last week John and I made our way to West midtown to enjoy an evening at Painted Duck! They have so many fun gaming options starting duckpin bowling, which is like regular bowling but with a smaller ball and 3 rolls per frame. They also have several other games like Belgian Feather Bowling to Skootball to shuffleboard. 🦃 On top of that work up an appetite for their backyard bar fare like their can’t miss whiskey glazed Turkey leg that is juicy and tender turkey with a sweet whisky brine that goes well with the savory and salty meat 🍊 And a visit to Painted Duck wouldn’t be complete without trying the frozen L’orange cocktail. It is a boozy vodka cocktail with creamy coconut, tart and tangy Jarrito’s soda. It drank like an orange creamsicle!

We had a blast on our game that John won by 20 points! 😆
Here are other menu highlights:
🪶 Quills (Skewers): fave is the Hawaiian pork and pineapple with tender smoky pork and tangy pineapple. Also enjoyed the Peruvian Filet thats tender and juicy, smoky, vegetable skewer with an array of smoked veggies, and the smoky their ahi tuna as well.
🦆 Duck nuggets are savory duck puree enveloped in crunchy panko with a spicy and creamy ranch for dipping.
🥩 Beef jerky has a great Asian flavor!
🍹 Mai tai is boozy rum cocktail that’s also creamy and tangy, just like we like them.
