What a way to step into a new beginning. ✨
Day 1 was extra special — it was the inauguration day of Sephora, and I got to be there as part of the celebrations with Be Dazzling. šŸ’ŽāœØ
A brand-new space, the energy of a launch day, people walking in for the first time, and right in the middle of it all — a little corner dedicated to turning beauty favourites into something even more personal with LIVE bedazzling. 🪩
From picking crystals and embellishments to creating customised pieces right there, watching the whole experience come alive on inauguration day was genuinely so much fun.
There’s something so exciting about being part of a new beginning — and getting to add a little sparkle to it made it even more special. ✨

My birthday is coming, and I thought, this year, I’m going to take the lead. I’ll plan it, celebrate it, spoil myself, make it special.

But then I stopped and realised… I’ve been taking the lead in my own life for a long time now.

There was a time when I would neglect myself, wait for someone else to make things special, and if circumstances didn’t allow it, I’d simply sit at home and feel sad about it.

Today, I don’t wait.

I take care of myself. I make plans for myself. I buy myself what I want. I create the life, the experiences and the little moments I once waited for someone else to give me.

And the beautiful part is, I didn’t even realise how much I had changed until this moment.

I think I’ve healed from neglect in the most beautiful way — by becoming someone who never abandons herself anymore.

And that might just be one of the biggest things I’ve ever achieved. Touch wood. šŸ¤

I used to take ghosting personally. I’d think, I just spent so much time answering questions, explaining everything, and helping them choose… and they didn’t even buy.
But business has taught me that an inquiry is not a waste of energy just because it doesn’t convert today.
Some clients I once thought had disappeared have come back months later—with bigger orders, better budgets, and a completely different level of trust.
Now, I answer every genuine inquiry with the same patience and attention, whether they buy today or never come back.
Because I don’t want to build my business from resentment. I want to build it from love for what I do.
You never really know which conversation will come back around as your best client.

Day 2 brought even more sparkle, creativity, and happy faces at Sephora. ✨ From choosing their favourite pieces to turning them into something completely their own, it was such a joy watching everyone get creative with live bedazzling.
Another day of meeting beautiful people, creating little moments of magic, and bringing the Soul Alchemy experience to life at Sephora. šŸ’ŽšŸ–¤
So grateful to be part of this experience and to keep doing what we love — creating, personalising, and making ordinary moments feel a little more special. ✨

There’s a difference between being a good person and simply being agreeable.

I respect people who have the courage to hold their ground, even when it costs them approval. People who don’t rewrite their principles depending on who walks into the room. People who understand that loyalty means something precisely because it isn’t always convenient.

I’ve lost respect for people not because they disagreed with me, but because they had nothing they were willing to stand for.

Silence can be a choice. So can neutrality. So can pretending not to see what’s happening because speaking up might make things uncomfortable.

But I pay attention to those choices.

You can be charming, respected, successful, well-liked and still have weak character. Reputation tells me what people think of you. Character tells me who you are when there’s something to lose.

And that is the only thing I care about.

I don’t need a large circle. I need people with a spine, a conscience, and the courage to remain the same person regardless of who is watching.

Anything less has no place in my life.

I’m the first generation of women in my bloodline to openly choose ambition, money, freedom and myself — and honestly, I’m angry that this ever had to feel like rebellion.

Angry that women were taught to feel guilty for wanting more. For earning more. For having a life beyond being someone’s daughter, wife or mother. For choosing themselves without asking for permission.

I’m choosing differently not just for myself, but for my nieces and sisters watching me.

I want them to grow up knowing that ambition isn’t selfish, independence isn’t rebellion, and choosing yourself isn’t something you need to apologise for.

If someone has to break the pattern, let it be me.

So the women after me don’t have to.

It takes so much to break free to finally love yourself.

It takes unlearning every version of you that was built to keep everyone else comfortable.

It takes anger.
A lot of it.

Anger at every time you stayed quiet when you wanted to scream.
At every boundary you abandoned because someone called you selfish.
At every time you made yourself smaller so someone else could feel bigger.
At every apology you gave when you were the one who was hurt.
At every dream you postponed because someone convinced you that wanting more made you difficult, arrogant, or ā€œtoo much.ā€

And the hardest part?

You don't just have to fight the people who benefited from the old version of you.

You have to fight the version of yourself that learned to accept it.

You have to teach yourself that guilt doesn't mean you're doing something wrong.
That disappointing people isn't the same as hurting them.
That saying NO doesn't make you cruel.
That choosing yourself isn't selfish.
That being independent isn't rebellion.
That you don't owe everyone access to you simply because they got used to having it.

Breaking free is ugly.

People will call you rude when you stop being convenient.
Cold when you stop over-explaining.
Selfish when you start prioritising yourself.
Difficult when you finally have standards.
Changed when you finally stop tolerating what broke you.

And maybe you have changed.

Maybe that's the whole fucking point.

Because sometimes loving yourself doesn't look soft.

Sometimes it looks like walking away.
Blocking the door.
Saying NO.
Letting people misunderstand you.
Choosing peace over approval.
Choosing your career, your dreams, your money, your freedom, your home, your life.

Sometimes self-love is not a warm hug in the mirror.

Sometimes it's rage.

Rage for the life you could have lived if you had never been taught to abandon yourself.

And then one day, you realise—

You didn't become heartless.

You simply stopped handing your heart to people who kept mishandling it.

You didn't become selfish.

You finally became someone you could count on.

And you didn't lose yourself by choosing yourself.

You finally fucking found yourself.

Sometimes the reaction you see at the end has nothing to do with the moment that caused it. It’s everything that came before it.

People cry until there are no tears left, and then they laugh. They feel so deeply that eventually, they become cold. They tolerate, explain, forgive, and stay quiet for so long that one day, all that patience turns into anger.

Because the extreme of anything eventually starts looking like its opposite.

Too much feeling becomes numbness.
Too much giving becomes detachment.
Too much tolerance becomes anger.
Too much love can eventually become indifference.

And when someone finally reaches that point, it usually isn’t sudden. You just happened to witness the last straw, not everything that led to it.
