South Londoners that make us proud: Bobby ❤️💙 Whether it’s a Marathon March or Bike Ride morning briefing, chances are you’ll hear Bobby before you see him. Often armed with a megaphone, plenty of energy and the odd dad joke, he’s become the face our fundraising events, helping bring people together in support of young South Londoners. As Fundraising Manager, Bobby plays a key role in helping raise thousands of pounds each year to support our work across the community. Having joined us five years ago, shortly after COVID, he was looking for an organisation where he could use his skills to help people and create opportunities for others. A lifelong Palace fan born and raised in Sutton, Bobby has always felt a strong connection to the area. Growing up playing football across South London gave him a deep appreciation for its diversity, energy and community spirit - something that continues to shape the way he approaches his work today. Bobby believes young people are capable of extraordinary things when given the right opportunities, and that belief has been at the heart of his work. Seeing the impact on young people’s lives motivates him to help make South London an even better place. While Bobby spends much of his time organising and leading fundraising events, he’s not afraid to take on the challenge himself. In 2024, he completed Bike to Wolves, cycling more than 100 miles and raising over £1,000 for young South Londoners. One of his proudest moments came when Marathon March raised £100k for the 1st time. It was a milestone that helped set the standard for future events, with fundraising totals continuing to grow year after year, contributing to a record-breaking 2025. Ask Bobby what makes the Palace for Life community so special and his answer is simple: a shared pride in the club, the community and the people who call South London home. For Bobby, making South London proud means giving back to the community that shaped him. Five years after joining us, he’s still bringing people together, championing young people and helping create opportunities across South London - something he couldn’t be prouder to be part of 👏 by @palaceforlife
