“On Pale Endless’ debut self-titled release, Jason and Lea Bledsoe(formerly Noise-A-Tron) shift their sound to a more cavernous, Gothic feel. Their 5-song debut with SFI Recording shifts from synth-laden doom to eloquent passages of lilting ambient. The synth-heavy tracks interspersed with both electronic and acoustic drums bring to mind artists like Zombi and Pinkish Black, but Pale Endless add their own distinct doomed romanticism to the overall sound. Sonically, this is truly dark beauty at its finest.

Pale Endless paint images of moss-covered castles strewn in haunted forests, while also building widescreen visions of cosmic dread. There’s a cinematic feel here, with “One” bringing to mind the suffocating sound world of The Haxan Cloak, while “Two” and it’s melancholy synth textures and analog buzz are a tip of the hat to the great Wojciech Golczewski. Pale Endless brings ominous solitude and monolithic sounds that are equal parts Sunn O))), Vangelis, and Zombi.”
