With her childhood love of dinosaurs and adventures with her family, patricia has plenty of inspiration for stories.

Hi there! It’s time I introduced myself properly around here, and what better way to do that than jumping on the #artvsartist2021 wagon?
.
My name is Patricia, and I live on a lovely little homestead out in the Texas hill country. I have a beautiful family of 5 young children (ages 9 and under) who love my drawings and stories about prehistoric critters, and my awesome husband who loves and supports me (even if he’s not so interested in the dinos).
.
Right now my primary focus is on Jurassic animals, because the picture book I’m working on features Jurassic dinosaurs. Eventually I plan on expanding to all of Earth’s time periods as I migrate to them in the series. For now, I love exploring the Jurassic, since it’s one of my favorite time periods.
.
I hope to bring a little prehistoric cuteness to brighten your day! And I hope to post more frequently in 2022 😁 .

It’s #FossilFriday featuring Ornitholestes!
.
This curious #Ornitholestes is completely innocent of all crimes concerning this raided turtle nest. The croc-cousin #Macelognathus is the real culprit!
.
Head over to Paleopetshop.com to find out more about Ornitholestes!

I actually jumped on a bandwagon in time! Lol, I saw a few others like @dinosaurcomics and @dinoesculturas doing this, so I thought I’d see how well it works with a few of my illustrations.
.
I’d say it worked ok for the more detailed paintings, though I don’t like how I can’t do anything about the end shot. Like how it clipped Gulper’s nose.
.
It was fun to experiment!

Here is my entry for @phoebeginger #1kpgdraw contest! I adore her style, and couldn’t miss a chance to draw her adorable bronto. I had a ton of fun practicing lighting on this one!
.
A few Brontosaurus set some mayflies a flight when they stop for a drink in the evening.

What do giant dinosaurs do when it rains?
.
Be sure to SWIPE to see it all!
This is the first half of a little story I’m working on. I’ll be posting the rest as soon as it’s finished!
.
Have you had days like this? What do you do when a sunny day turns all wet and gray?

An Ornitholestes is intrigued by faint rustling in the brush, and the two young Nanosaurus hope they’re sneaky enough to get past him unnoticed.
.
#Ornitholestes and #Nanosaurus were both about the size of large dogs, and lived in late #Jurassic North America. Adult Nanosaurus didn’t have much to worry about from Ornitholestes, but chicks had to be careful!

Today we get a peek in the sketchbook!
.
This is part of a project I’ve been working on for about two years now, and I’m almost ready to reveal it. It’s so exciting to be almost done!
.
I just love vintage paleo art, and for these guys I referenced some old classics.
