A look back at one of my absolute favourite projects. Two sets of the great philosophers for separate issues of Thrive Magazine, AD on both by the lovely Jeremy Van Bedijk. In order here, Friedrich Nietzsche, Simone de Beauvoir, Marshall McLuhan, Aristotle, Socrates, Marcus Aurelius, J.L Austin & Ludwig Wittgenstein. I did a (dusty) hunt through my bookshelves, no McLuhan - impossible! With Understanding media he re-defined my self concept in relation to technology & the nature of knowledge moving through digital platforms. I guess I need some Wittgenstein & JL Austin too? I was always far more interested in the gossip around de Beauvoir & Sartre (Tête-à-Tête bio) then their actual writing, but I could try again. by @palezsa

Back at The Guardian for Enslaving Nation.

Two years after illustrating Cotton Capital, which went on to win a D&AD Wood Pencil, I was asked back for the next phase of the project.

I’ve always been a big reader of history, so it was a total thrill to illustrate these historical figures for such an extensive & important research project from The Guardian. Several of my illustrations are published today, swipe for a look at some!

A look back at my Forbes x JP Morgan portraits, for the ‘Changing the Face of Finance’ feature. Pricilla Lim, Laurinda Rainey & Sonali Divilek. AD by the always great Jennifer Ramos. My first magazine cover a couple of weeks back and it’s the @obsmagazine - I taught myself to draw studying portrait photographs in the Sunday Observer Mag & Guardian Weekend some 20 years ago. My entire personality can probably be traced back to inhaling a combination Oliver Burkeman & Mariella Frostrup columns religiously as a teen. #observermagazine
