I don’t usually recommend movies.

But this one isn’t just a film—it’s an experience.
Some stories are meant to be felt, not just watched, and this is one of them.
Watch it in a theatre and make sure we acknowledge and appreciate good work!
The big screen does justice to the incredible effort, passion, and energy behind it.

And then someday when you’re not looking there’ll be a perfect place in the mountains that would match perfectly with the house you see in your dreams.

and no I’m not talking about a place. 🧿 by @pallavi.joshi94

Snippets captured from Holika Dahan 2025.

Coming from such a rich culture, we barely know about our own traditions. So the whole point of posting this video is to remind ourselves how much we need to learn about our own roots before we move forward and participate in others’.

I’ve been born and brought up here and yet last year was my first time witnessing this century old tradition. so if you’re from Pithoragarh and you haven’t seen this yet, let this be your sign!

I had once come across this ritual on a reel and, like most reels, forgotten about it—until this beautiful day.

On the very first Monday of this year, lost on my way to the temple, I unknowingly walked straight into this moment and experienced something truly divine.

Posting this as a reminder that God’s plan > my plan!
