We’re investing $146 million from our Residential Activation Fund to unlock 18,900 more homes across the Gold Coast 🏠✅This includes Parkwood’s @palmvalleygc which will receive $5.7 million to upgrade and relocate sewerage and electrical infrastructure, and to upgrade the intersection of the site with Napper Road. Our funding is on top of the substantial contributions the developer is making to these infrastructure upgrades and it will mean the 234 homes in the accommodation part of the Surf Park project will be built sooner instead of in a future stage.The rest will help the Council with major sewerage treatment plant upgrades in Pimpama and Merrimac to unlock homes in Coomera, Pimpama, Upper Coomera, Robina and Worongary.More supply means more opportunities for aspirational first homebuyers here in our city 🔑 by @palmvalleygc

We’re backing @palmvalleygc in Parkwood 🌴🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️Our $4 million grant from the Tourism Icons Investment Fund will help deliver the first stage!Other than the surf park, for locals this will add a brew house and other dining venues, a hotel and housing, all on top of an upgrade of our exisiting Parkwood Golf Course which will remain at 18 holes.It’s a great example of making the most of sport and recreation land and protecting a golf course in the long-term.This project complements our city’s beaches, keeps our golf course secure, has strict conditions to protect our lifestyle and brings more hospitality venues to our area for us to all enjoy. You won’t have to wait long to see the surf come to our suburb - construction is scheduled to kick off later this year ✅ by @palmvalleygc
