So excited to share the official poster for La Piñata, designed and shot by the amazing Leticia Palma and Maya Holt 🤍

This project has truly been a labor of love and my very first story brought to life. I got to tell a story that I truly hope resonates with people but most importantly I made a film alongside some truly incredible people. We cannot wait to keep sharing updates as they come!

Logline:

At her half-sister’s birthday party, Isabella reunites with her estranged father, Marcos. As old wounds resurface, they may discover that healing does not always look pretty and can hit when you least expect it.

Back in February 2024, after struggling to make ends meet in LA during the strikes, one of my favorite people in the world, Squinth, asked me to move back to NM to work on one of the biggest projects of the year. How could I say no? Though, truthfully, it was really hard to leave Alan and my cats in LA to go live in my dad’s spare bedroom and work 60hr weeks for 9 months straight. This job was NOT easy. But it was totally worth it. I learned and grew so much. Even better, I got to do it with the finest people in the industry. Shout out to everyone who made each long day worth it. You know who you are. ☺️💛 Pluribus is a beautiful concept for a lot of reasons, but I can’t help but wonder if one of the inspirations for We being Us might come from the fact that it takes hundreds of people to make one thing. And this one thing is epic.

A whole year and a half later, it was full circle to attend the premier with my POC and role model, Cynthea. She has been a powerhouse of a mentor to me these last five years, and I can’t wait to see what else we work on together. Here’s to hoping one day I can make her dreams come true. (I do something big and she’s my assistant.)

I wanted to run 13.1 miles. So I gave myself 13.1 miles. I’m grateful for ME and the effort I’ve put in the last few months to prepare for my first half marathon.
Also very grateful to Sam for encouraging me to try, to all my runner girls who hyped me up during training and ran with me from different states, and to my sweet Alan for always having a sandwich and protein shake waiting for me when I got home from a long run.
It was me who ran the race, but it was my people who got me through. 🙂‍↕️💜 by @palmwicked

Birthdays past, turning 30, and an Ode to his 20s. What a weird time to celebrate, but while we can, I’ll celebrate every second of my hero, Alan. Who he is today, starting a new era, is the culmination of a decade spent being open minded, generous, sensitive, a student of the world, my best friend, and someone who’s always preparing for the blessings that will surely come. This is 30, baby. It’s truly never looked better. by @palmwicked

If on January 1st, 2024 I got a sneak peak at what this year would take from me and give me, I would negotiate the price. But the cost and beauty of always being where I’m meant to be, is that I don’t get to choose. What I do get to do is humble myself, learn from every moment, turn it into something that lets me love better and live better.
I can’t express my gratitude for those who were a part of this year. But hopefully I’ve already cried with you about what you mean to me as I’m prone to do.
For 2025, I think I’m afraid, but equally excited to see just how much more there is to do.
