Midnight Noodles is a personal visdev project I started in 2021, and has since been rewritten, redrawn, and revamped many times into the final version that it is now. The past 5 years of this project have been compiled into a 112 page book that you can get at Lightbox Expo 2026!

This project has been such a labour of love these past few years, it has followed me from being a student to now working in the industry. I can't wait to share it with everyone! Most of the artwork has never been shared publicly yet.

A big thank you to @o.ri_ori for the beautiful layout and graphic design, @bwianzhao for modeling as Ahui in costume life drawing (most of the poses made it in the book!), and to my friends and family and mentors over the years (who I'm sure are sick of me talking about midnight noodles lol) 💖💖 by @paluumin

6-POINT PERSPECTIVE: 6 ANGLES TO WORKING IN ENTERTAINMENT ART

6 different artists describe their unique journeys in the Entertainment Art Industry, working across a variety of disciplines and specialties. From Visual Development and Storyboarding in TV and Feature, Concept Art in mobile, indie, and AAA games, to Editorial Illustration and Graphic Novels, each of us will share our experiences and thoughts on the differences and similarities within our respective careers, how we navigate an ever-changing industry, and how we diversified our crafts.

Blasting off to the ball in Midnight Noodles 🦋 excited to be finally done this piece that I started in @camilocastro.art 's class on @warriorartcamp ! 🫶 I started off with a 3D block-in :D Also this is a repaint of an old 2021 piece hehe, I've always wanted to do the idea justice

I'll also be tabling at Lightbox this year with my friend Mary!! 🥺💖💖 This might be the last bit that I share about Midnight Noodles because I'll be making an art book for Lightbox :D (I hope I finish LOLOL) In the meantime, I will be sharing behind the scenes on patreon!

Another #pleinairpril2026 complete! Only managed to do 22 this year 🥀 Almost all were done from my photos from my France trip last year! It was my first time in Europe and I took so many photos, I loved it 🥺 I can't wait to go back again 🧀

It's pleinairpril's 10th anniversary this year! I've been doing this challenge every year since 6 years ago 😭 Upon looking back, I realized I was too ashamed to compile my 2020 pleinairpril back when I completed it (I don't even remember completing it 🤣). So to mark this event's 10 year anniversary, I decided to share it now, 6 years later 🙈 This challenge has pushed me to improve every year, and I'm so grateful for all the friends I've met through it!

Also when I was looking through my old 2020 posts, I forgot the theme in 2020 was dream destinations! I painted a lot of places I wanted to visit, like British Columbia, LA, Japan, Joshua Tree, Banff, Europe, etc. And now 6 years later, I've been to all those places 🥹✨ Looking forward to all the new places I'll paint in the next 6-7 years 🫶

fête de la musique!! most insane experience of my life 💥💃😵‍💫 the streets were crowded with people with music! if I had to describe it, it's like... bar hopping but free and outside... and every corner has a different genre of music lolol it was great, can't wait to go again 🤣 I added my friends in the crowd hehe 📸

squigglyyyy 🚲 getting faster but also getting lazier 🤣 bg was done on one layer but it looked so chud I had to smudge it... But the effect is pretty cool! So then I proceeded to smudge everything and now I guess this is a style 🤓☝️YIPPEEE all caught up and halfway through pleinairpril 😭😭😭
