A few October things

A little before and after of our library/sitting area.
When we started renovating I knew I wanted a cozy place for our books and treasures we’ve collected over the years.
The original space was lovely but I had a vision for something different.. green bookshelves, warm walnut countertops, brass lighting and a comfortable place to enjoy a good book with a cup of tea. Both my husband and my builder were very nervous about the green paint but now they love it! 💚
After 17 moves I’ve learned that the smallest rooms can become the most special 📚 🩵💚 by @pamelajanedumont

It’s hard to believe this is the same space.

From demolition dust to a kitchen that feels like us~ blue and white, warm wood, brass and collected pieces that have followed us from home to home.

Looking back makes me appreciate how far we’ve come in this space.. even with a few things left on the to do list!

Four things I’d choose again in our kitchen renovation

🩵Calacatta marble.. this was one of our most difficult decision. Yes it scratches, stains and etches.. but I still love how it looks and would not hesitate to use it again!
💚 @lacornueofficial Range in Provence Blue… our first decision and purchase. My dream oven!
🩵Walnut countertops… brings warmth and character..our builder @partainandsons made them!
💚Pantry.. designing this pantry was so much fun! From the brick floor, @serenaandlily wallpaper, @benjaminmoore Saybrook Sage custom green cabinetry by @faneuilkitchen , @rejuvenation hardware and @cafeappliances double ovens.

This kitchen was worth the wait 🩵💚

And yes.. there’s drilling going on in the background. I hear it in my sleep 😂 by @pamelajanedumont

A home collected over time.

Would you like to see more of our time (and two other apartments!) in Paris? 🇫🇷

I love making my own tea.. herbs and natural ingredients.. and books? “Love of books is the best of all” .. Jackie Kennedy

A little restocking.. a little cooking and suddenly the house feels back in order. There’s something so satisfying about starting the week with a stocked kitchen and something simmering on the stove.
And of course, @inagarten is never far away 🍂🥣
Anyone else love a good kitchen reset? 💚🩵 by @pamelajanedumont
