I knew who Dolly Parton was before I even knew who I was. ❤️

My daddy played country music when I was a little girl, so some of my earliest memories were filled with the Oak Ridge Boys and Dolly Parton. I remember going to Dollywood when it first opened. I remember Dolly coming out, dancing and singing, and being so excited to see her. I even remember getting frustrated when she would leave and they would tell us she’d be back in a few. 😂

What stayed with me most was how hands-on she was with everything she touched—and especially how she treated people. She understood something that I have carried with me throughout my life: how you treat people matters, and how you treat children matters even more.

Dolly is only one year older than my mother, and as sad as I am to know that she has left us for good, I am grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. I will always strive to be more like her—to be kind, to give back, to encourage people, and to leave this world better than I found it.

Many people know me primarily as a rapper, but country music has always been a part of my roots. My very first copyrighted song was actually a country song called “Johnny Cash Shook My Hand.” 🎶

That says a lot about where my heart and my influences come from.

Dolly Parton showed the world that you can be successful without losing your kindness, your humility, or your connection to where you came from. She made people proud to be from Tennessee, and I hope that one day I can leave a legacy that makes people just as proud.

Thank you, Dolly, for being a part of my childhood, my memories, my music, and my inspiration.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. Your legacy will live on. ❤️🎶

A lot of people ask me, “Why are you running for office?”

I’m running for the people who need a voice.

I’m running for the formally incarcerated who are still fighting for a second chance. I’m running for disabled veterans and people with disabilities who deserve dignity, opportunity, and access. I’m running for marginalized communities that have been ignored, pushed aside, and too often told that they are not worthy of good jobs, safe places to live, or a meaningful future.

I’m running for the people who feel like government has forgotten them.

I’m running because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to work, to live with dignity, to have a safe place to call home, and to be heard.

This campaign is bigger than me.

It’s about the people who have been overlooked for too long.

I’m running because America deserves change — and I believe that change must include all of us.

☕🇺🇸 TODAY’S MORNING: FITNESS, SERVICE, AND VETERANS! 🇺🇸

This morning, I got in an active workout to stay in shape, hit the run, and then headed to Collierville for coffee with veterans at the VFW.

As a candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, I believe it is important to understand the realities of war and the sacrifices our veterans have made. Who better to learn from than the men and women who have lived through it?

I had the honor of speaking with veterans who served in the Vietnam War, World War II, and the Gulf War. We had a lengthy, meaningful conversation about veterans’ affairs, the challenges they face, and the ways they have been neglected by leadership that too often puts political parties ahead of people.

These are men and women who put their lives on the line for this country. Some continue to suffer from the effects of Agent Orange, permanent disabilities, and other service-related conditions. They deserve more than speeches, promises, and political slogans. They deserve action, accountability, and support.

While our current representative celebrates his political party’s priorities and so-called “big, beautiful bills,” I want to know: Who is fighting for the veterans who sacrificed so much for this country?

When I am elected, veterans will be a priority—not an afterthought. Under the Moses Plan, I will advocate for veterans’ healthcare, disability support, and the resources they need to live with dignity. We must honor our veterans not just with words, but with meaningful action.

I am running as an Independent because I believe PEOPLE must come before PARTY. Our veterans have earned that commitment.

❤️ EAST JACKSON, YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART! ❤️

Today, I had the pleasure of participating in the East Jackson Forum, a place that holds special memories for me. I grew up knowing East Jackson and even attended church there with my cousin Millie. It was wonderful to reconnect with community leaders and hear their concerns about the future of our community and our youth.

One of the major discussions centered on funding a juvenile detention center. While I understand that these facilities may be necessary, I believe we must invest just as much in prevention as we do in detention. We need more mental health services, youth mentorship programs, recreational activities, and opportunities that keep our young people engaged and moving in the right direction.

As the saying goes, “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” We must start investing in our children early, before they end up in the criminal justice system.

We also discussed the possibility of an all-male charter school at Lane College. Under my Moses Plan, I would explore legislation to support youth mentorship initiatives and innovative educational opportunities that help our young people succeed.

As your Independent candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, I believe in investing in PEOPLE, not just building more systems to manage problems we could have prevented.

🗳️ Today is the second day of early voting! Let’s get the word out, take our family and friends to the polls, and vote INDEPENDENT for real change!

We cannot keep doing the same things and expecting different results. It’s time to put people before politics and give our communities a real voice in Washington!

❤️ COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS ARE THE BACKBONE OF OUR COMMUNITIES! ❤️

Today, I had the pleasure of attending a luncheon with organizations serving Shelby County and Fayette County, including Fayette C.A.R.E., the YMCA, Youth Villages, the Kiwanis Club, veterans, and many other dedicated community leaders.

Each organization shared why they do the work they do and how they make a difference in people’s lives. From protecting survivors of domestic violence to supporting our youth, veterans, and families, these organizations are doing essential work every single day.

As your Independent candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 8th Congressional District, I intend to be a strong advocate for these organizations, encourage community support, and help ensure they have the resources they need to continue serving our people.

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are an important part of our communities and our democracy. Government cannot do it all alone. We must work together to create real change and improve lives.
