The photos that absolutely no one asked for are here: the sexy potato sack!
A few have noticed that I have said goodbye to my old cosplay name. I am still, and always will be, a potato, but I no longer feel like my cosplays are of a potato sack quality next to others. Also I have been enjoying streaming and would like to bring that more into my instagram without any confusion. So this shoot was done to pay homage to my old name, and send it off well!

My experience at @studio_esperanto is something of a dream come true in all honesty. I feel like they work magic to create such incredible memories and capture them in photos. This look was very much out of my usual style, but the entire process I was so giddy with excitement and just taken back completely by how INCREDIBLE everyone was!
I was so lucky that the makeup artist that transformed me was the artist that came up with this concept, made the wig, the outfit and the set!! She was so incredibly kind and even laughed with me when the dress would not fit past hips, so we had to go shoulders down (the rear is too powerful).
The photographer was so respectful and knew what angles would work and made me feel incredibly comfortable. Afterwards, she even helped me get some photos on my phone of the whole costume when she saw me struggling.
This experience was truly worth every single penny and I really hope I'll be able to go back and do other shoots. As a cosplayer, I know the insane amount of effort gone into every part of this, and I wish more people could experience this, not just to see a new side of themselves and gain some more self love, but also to understand the effort, time and dedication this all takes.

I am so so in love with these stage photos taken by the @worldcosplaysummit team. Getting to represent South Africa on stage in Japan was something I will treasure always and cannot recommend the experience enough!! The friendships I made, the confidence in myself I achieved and the beautiful moments interacting with people in Japan loving cosplay just fulls my heart!
Seriously....South African cosplayers, I hope you are prepping your cosplays and acts for qualifiers!! All questions welcome!

A bit late to posting this, but this has been sitting in my drafts for a while as I contemplated whether to post it. I have always felt uncomfortable asking for support, but after a month of extreme expenses for rush shipping, massive petrol costs for supply hunting, visa expenses and unexpected expenses to make sure I have everything ready for tomorrow, I realised that seeing if people wanted to support was not an obligation I'm putting out there, but more of presenting supporters with a choice if people would like to.

I am also another year over the gommage age on the 9th, which is also the first day of ECG, so if you wanted to donate to a birthday croissant, please consider doing so through my ko-fi (link in bio).

I'll also be doing a subscriber only twitch stream when I am back talking about my experience at ECG and my journey getting there 💜.

Even though I couldn't pull her in game, I got to live my best sea jelly life in person. This cosplay is so much fun and I love how it changed my appearance so much people didn't even know it was me 🪼💖🫧 Expect a lot more photos in the near future!

A little post to say goodbye to summer and welcome to Autumn tomorrow 🌅🍂
However, with Cape Town weather, autumn and spring are pretty much just days where the weather feels like it being summer heat wave no wind one day and then a rainstorm with gale force winds the next.
