A few weeks ago, I wrote:

"What is meant for you finds you. Quietly. Naturally. Right on time."

At the time, my handpan was still thousands of miles away.

After winning the giveaway from @maltemarten on March 31st, I thought the next chapter would simply be waiting for my D Kurd 17 to arrive. But life had other plans.

The messages came first.

People from all around the world reached out to congratulate me. Some were friends, some were strangers, but every message felt meaningful. What touched me most wasn't winning an instrument—it was realizing how many people genuinely shared in my happiness. To everyone who took a moment to write, thank you. You became part of this journey long before it truly began.

While waiting, I could not stop myself from preparing.

Every day, I practiced on my knees, tapping rhythms onto my legs and imagining where the notes would be.

I had never touched a handpan before, but something in me wanted to be ready when the moment arrived.

Not long after, I found myself added to the Handpan India group through that same beautiful chain of connections. Within a week, there was a meetup happening nearby, so I went.

And that's where everything became real.

For the first time in my life, I heard a handpan in the same room. Not through headphones. Not through speakers. Not through a screen.

After nearly three years of listening to handpan music and months of imagining what it might feel like, I finally got to experience one for myself.

At that meetup, I met two beautiful souls, @pulseofthepan and @ritu_pherwani

Seeing my joy witnessing the handpan. Ritu did something I'll never forget.

She generously lent me her D Kurd 9 from @handhandmusic so I could begin learning while waiting for my own handpan to arrive.

Looking back, the journey feels bigger than an instrument.

A week of missed notes, small discoveries, wonder, and gratitude.

Maybe you just need to get ready for everything you want to receive.

Sometimes what arrives isn't exactly what you imagined. Sometimes it's even better.

Somewhere between a dream and a notification screen… this happened.

This is my first post.
And this… is the first ever photograph I have of my handpan.
Not even a proper photo, just a screenshot from a video call, taken in the middle of an unboxing happening miles away from me.

Held in the hands of two people I’m deeply grateful for (@brigipolom @heyviswa )who received it for me, shared that moment with me, and made the distance feel a little less real.

For almost 3 years now, I’ve been listening to @maltemarten , almost every single day. Sorry to everyone around me who did not like handpan music, you know who you are😆

But handpan for me was stillness. It was something I didn’t fully understand but deeply felt.

And about 2 years ago,a quiet desire began growing in me.

“I want a handpan.”

But reality had its own say.
Good handpans are expensive. And every time I got close to the idea of buying one, I stopped myself.
I told myself “not now,”
“maybe later,”
“one day.”

And slowly… I let it go.

Not out of defeat, but almost like I made peace with it. I always knew I would have a handpan someday.

And then something happened last month.

A giveaway by the very artist who unknowingly planted this seed in me and became my favourite from the very first song I heard - When the wind talks

I instantly fell in love with the sound of the instrument.

And from the very first day I participated in the giveaway, there was this feeling.

Not anticipation. Not hope.

Certainty.

A quiet, knowing that I cannot logically explain.

I remember telling a couple of my friends,
“I’m going to win this.”

What are the chances?

A handpan… from Malte Marten… through a giveaway?

They were surprised at how convinced I sounded.
We even spoke about how we’d share it,
learn together,
listen to it...

Sometimes...something deeper than logic speaks.

Call it intuition.
Call it energy.
Call it manifestation.
Or maybe just alignment.

Can't wait to receive it and start playing 🛸
