A quiet evening with Abhijay and Riya.
Shot these earlier this year at the ever inspiring @thelightsmiths.in office, a space that’s somehow always soaked in good light and even better energy. We played around with some portraits, and in between those caught the moments that felt most like Abhi and Riya as a couple.
Also, outfits by Kunal Anil Tanna here added just the right amount of timeless charm that sat perfectly in this soft, nostalgic palette.

The internet debate between documentary and portrait photography at weddings is probably endless with how one outweighs the other. However, while capturing a wedding as unobtrusively as I can brings me immense joy, shooting portraits where I could have some control over every single detail feels just as rewarding. My Instagram feed is a proof that I find joy in both.

Speaking of Delna and Arzaan, it’s rare to photograph a couple, both of whom genuinely enjoy being in front of the camera. So here’s a set dedicated just to them, captured during their Arabian Night themed celebrations, before the two weddings that followed.

New Year, New Beginnings!

Maddy and Keke exchanged their vows on the first day of the year, surrounded by the breathtaking harmony of land and water - a perfect reflection of their love story. Maddy sails the seas, while Keke stays grounded on land, and together they’ve found their perfect balance.

With just about 10 of their closest loved ones (including the photographer and videographer😛) witnessing this intimate celebration, it was a day filled with warmth, joy, and a love that knows no bounds.

Congratulations @the_soulfree_traveller and @keke_lashawn_ ! Here’s to your forever, as vast as the ocean and as steady as the shore.

Some moments are composed. Others simply bloom.

It began with Vishwa—calm, radiant, carrying a quiet elegance that needed nothing more than natural light and a gentle frame. Then came the two of them together, where every glance felt familiar, every smile effortless.

And just when everything seemed beautifully composed, the flowers took over.

Marigolds filled the air, laughter echoed from every corner, and the haldi transformed into pure, unfiltered celebration. The best photographs are often made in that beautiful space between grace and chaos.

This wasn’t just a haldi. It was joy in full bloom, and we were lucky enough to witness it through our lens.

Saran X Jaisnoor, 2024

1. Jaisnoor's face catching the 7am glow as we start with her bridal portraits.

2. Not a perfect portrait in my opinion. I have another photo of Jaisnoor sitting at the same spot holding her dupatta just right, her face angled perfectly, and every element seemingly in place. Yet, there’s something about the unguarded innocence in this unposed shot taken before I had the chance to direct her, that feels more real to me.

3. You know those paintings that follow you with their eyes, no matter where you stand? I think I’ve cracked that code for a photograph.

4. After a brief moment of a first look with her mother, Jaisnoor turns back to get her portraits done. Her mother bravely manages to hold it in throughout, until a single tear slips free, seen only as a reflection through the mirror in front of us. One of those moments they would only see later, in photos they both didn’t know were being taken.

5. More photos with light play.

6. Takin' you back to the 90s.

7. Jaisnoor and her friend share the same emotion.
Also, somewhere in this photo lies the answer to when this was shot.

8. A little invader dozed off within the frame I had once marked at Saran's home and I chose to let her be.

I have posted so many portraits from this wedding now that I have run out of captions for them - but here's something worth sharing. Every portrait here was taken while the groom stood on a broken leg. Yes, you read that right. Arzaan injured his leg the night before during the party but chose to move forward without a check-up, determined not to let anything disrupt the celebrations. I only found out while guiding him up the stairs for some shots. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is!
