More recent reads/out of context panels and comics. Reading lots of Avengers books(never did much before) and HISHE rewatches post Encore, right from classics like Infinity Gauntlet and Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars to Hickman/Brian Michael Bendis, and some side stuff featuring Thanos, Silver Surfer. I still feel they should either released Infinity War instead of the two films together…Also lots of X Men as usual. Mojoworld revival gives a cool look back at a character who I think ‘inspired’ Video Villain in Raj Comics. Also loving the random Dr Doom & FF comic finds in my old collection. Also where is a good Marvel movie? May be it ll appear in Avengers Endgame. #comic #avengers #avengersendgame #whyisgamora #thor by @paneldaze

“Product of their time and accidental double-dipping - Trysts of a comic collector” My comic reading off late is more of retro stuff- classic Spider Man, diving more into X-Men (and some more adjacent properties like New Mutants, New Warriors, Outsiders, Ultimates line by Peach Momoko). I find this dilemma interesting - of approaching classic books sometimes due to acclaim sometimes due to peer pressure, and then finding them meh/underwhelming. Sometimes you get a classic collection and it ends up sitting on your shelf long enough for you to start questioning your life choices. Sometimes a randomly picked up single issue in a dollar sale or a Marvel pocketbook you find while searching for your college degree impresses you like nothing else . Sometimes it takes a while to dig through multiple books/stories/arcs to find your sweet spot. Like this Epic Collection on Hero Killers or Birth of Venom arc, great stuff by David Michelinie, or classic Claremont stories, Giant Size X-Men by Wein & Cockrun.
Also if you like the world of Marvel Masterworks/Newspaper Editions, check out the great work being done by Clover Press to restore the yearwise newspaper slipcase comic collections. They are also bringing out/reviving Marvel Masterworks through a heartening Kickstarter campaign. Good times! #comics #xmen #marvel #cloverpress #stanlee by @paneldaze

Random post- reading and OTT updates. a panel from Mandrake comic(Pursuit of Cobra- did you know Mandrake had a half-brother who turned into his arch-nemesis, more like ‘aath’ nemesis because he heads a crime syndicate called ‘8’), Mad Cave’s new Phantom TBP, a baseball match in an X-Men comic made me wonder why don’t we have an all-out cricket league event in Raj Comics(after DC stole their Sarvnayak concept as K O, I’ll accept trolls if they address me as ‘Sir’), The Last House - a bad decision to watch this on a Fri evening(someone put an AI drawn art which I am reusing, much like they did with this film), Phantom doing a ‘zindagi ki na toote ladi’ in The Chain and some more emo heartburn moments, a Japanese film called Erased in which a manga artist goes back in time unannounced, few more random panels from Green Arrow Reunion arc and other comics. Also trying to catch up on Image/Skybound including Energon Universe. #comics #phantom #mandrake #thelasthouse #japanesecinema by @paneldaze

Another Sunday at Blossoms, books exchanged, conversations overheard(this time it was a mom and kid..kid was calling out superhero names like a currency and “books are better than movies” mom wanted to leave fast for budday party, spoiler alert mom won), also seeing lots of people sending people to buy books then instructing like Alfred over video call. Fun times. DC Compact stock at the store is growing healthier, some noble soul left lots of vintage Raj Comics, and I picked up some Dark DC books. More on the channel soon. Whoever gets my books gets my blessings(and some museum tickets masquerading as bookmarks). #comics #paneldaze #indiancomics #comicbooks #blossoms taken in Blossom Book House by @paneldaze

As I try to calm the Dalle Chilli high in my unexciting home food with some Sikkim honey, I reflect back on the Sikkim Utsav 2026. Fun vibes, song and dance, authentic food, warm interactions, tasting tea and honey, and the unannounced multiple entries of Singhi Chham. What a time it was! #sikkim #sikkimutsav #odop #dalle #singhichham taken in Orion Mall Bangalore by @paneldaze

New comics Quick Review Comic Con Bangalore Edition- Two new books out from Bullseye Press. Raj Rahman The Weight We Carry by Ashwin Kalmane, Deepjoy Subba, Minhaj Mahady continues on the world of the detective duo with a well written, provocative and organically immersive case that also furthers the lead duo’s traits while also gives a sharp commentary on society and dark secrets and evils therein. There is also an origin story at the back that will be told in parts.
Dracula 3 Resurgence Noir Edition by Sudeep Menon & Deepjoy takes our infamous protagonist to the Battle of Panipat this time. Amidst war torn high voltage setting, there is seasoned writing which takes from history yet builds on its own fantastical tale, eye popping art that shows Deepjoy in never before form. Color edition releases in Kolkata Comic Con.

Both are must reads for fans of these characters. #Comics #bullseye #comicconindia taken in KTPO, Whitefield, Bengaluru by @paneldaze

Nagpur Book Festival / Nagpur Pustak Mahotsav held at Reshimbagh, Nagpur was a celebration of preserving reading habit and joy of stories, characters, writers old new and legendary, and love for history and culture. I was glad to catch it and was super stoked to pick few books from National Book Trust, Children Book Trust, Flydreams, and other Indian publishers. An event at such a large scale celebrates our literary leanings away from the language this caption is written in. #nagpur #comics #books #flydreamspublications #book #hindi #marathi #nationalbooktrust #nbt #nagpuri #booksale #exhibition taken in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India by @paneldaze
