«Brightest Heroine» – Πάνος Μαλακτός

Ο παλιός κόσμος πεθαίνει και ο καινούριος παλεύει να γεννηθεί. Το σώμα κινητοποιείται και εξεγείρεται απέναντι στα τέρατα του παρόντος, αρνούμενο να σωπάσει. Στην τελευταία πίστα, η ηρωίδα συγκρούεται με το τέρας – μα ποιος είναι ο εχθρός; Όλα δείχνουν πως η άρνηση της παραίτησης είναι η μόνη χειρονομία αντίστασης σε έναν κόσμο που όλο και περισσότερο μοιάζει να μας τρολάρει.

“Brightest Heroine” – Panos Malactos

The old world is dying, and the new one struggles to be born. The body rises against the monsters of the present, refusing to be silenced. On the final level of the game, the heroine confronts the monster – but who is the enemy? Everything suggests that refusing to give in may be the only remaining gesture of resistance in a world increasingly bent on trolling us.

Honestly felt so proud watching them, telling my story and their own stories on stage highlighting issues of the industry and not only! We did it in our way and it’s okay not to be okay 🌈

🇵🇹NO IM NOT explora as dinâmicas de abuso de poder no mundo da dança. Desafiando a fachada de bem-estar frequentemente apresentada no setor, a peça mostra como os bailarinos lutam com a sua saúde mental num ambiente de trabalho tóxico — navegando abuso sistémico, manipulação e expectativas irrealistas nas suas vidas profissionais.
NO IM NOT é uma continuação de Are You Okay?, o anterior trabalho de grupo de Panos, que explora a dualidade das experiências dos intérpretes, revelando a dissonância entre a pressão social para aparentar estar “bem” e o seu tumulto interior.

Panos Malactos is a Cypriot dancer and choreographer whose work moves between intimacy, surrealism, and the everyday. He explores themes of queerness, identity, mental health and transformation through a physical, emotionally charged language. Rooted in both theatricality and raw movement, his creations unfold like lived stories—shifting between humor, tenderness, and unease—reflecting a deeply human search for belonging and expression.
