25 Years of @squareofopposition Records put into a poster. When Chris was talking about the possibility of a 25 year fest this past spring, he asked me if I wanted to make the poster for it and I said yes about as quickly as my dumb little brain could think of the word. To say this is my favorite project I’ve ever been asked to work on is probably true, but to say I felt like an imposter being the guy to make this thing is also probably true. So many bands I’ve been a fan of for most of my life and who are so important to me are in this, it’s not lost on me how important they are to so many other people as well. It sounds silly, but I did feel this pressure to stick the landing and make this thing really stand out. Thank you to everyone who has said such kind words about the poster either online or in person, I’m blown away that so many people rocked with it.

Even though this is just a small part of a larger thing, I’m so unbelievably proud and grateful to have been able to make this. I think it turned out pretty cool.

And hey if you want one, they’re still for sale at squareofopposition.com, each one is hand numbered.

Thanks for reading this far, if you did, check out the evolution of the poster as well as Chris’ original sketch. taken in Lehigh Valley , Pennsylvania by @pantaloop

The Bethl’mites are a couple o’ no good bugs living under the rusted urban decay of the Bethlehem steel stacks. They play music all day and night that really gets under peoples skin, but nobody can find or stop these little freaks even if they tried.
Maybe some day they could make it big and end up on the cover of their favorite monthly music zine @thebethlmite before the band inevitable break up and start some half baked solo projects. taken in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania by @pantaloop

A lot has changed for me since 2023, but one of the biggest changes by far was rescuing Master from the mean streets of Allentown. I love my little goblin so much, I had to recolor this sticker of Piper from 2023’s Supper Club to celebrate this year’s festivities. Maybe in 3 years @ryebr3ad and I will have another furry friend to immortalize in a goofy sticker👀 taken in Goblin Valley by @pantaloop

Mystery Test Press covers for some, you guessed it, mystery test presses! Artwork by me.

These will be sold or given away or maybe put to rest at @squareofopposition ‘s 25th birthday next weekend and each one is an existing sofo record sleeve flipped inside out. As luck would have it the one I grabbed here was for @spraynardband Cut and Paste album. As I started to listen to more modern DIY emo and punk music in the early 2010’s, Spraynard was one of a very few local bands I actually was blown away by, it never made sense that three dudes from my area could make music like this.

Fast forward many many years later and as fate would have it, I was somehow lucky enough to contribute something to a label that has been such a big part of mine and many kids lives. SOFO x Spraynard forever baby taken in Exton Square Mall by @pantaloop
