[한국어 아래] Ho passato lo scorso anno e mezzo a scrivere un libro. "Fattore K. L'ascesa della cultura pop coreana" esce il 25 ottobre per @add_editore 🐣

Negli ultimi anni l'interesse globale per la Corea del Sud e la sua cultura popolare (K-pop, K-drama, ecc) è aumentato esponenzialmente, anche in Italia. In questo libro cerco di raccontare e spiegare come sia successo, sfatando alcuni dei miti e stereotipi diffusi e approfondendo temi culturali e sociali che aiutano a comprendere meglio il contesto che ha dato vita all'Hallyu, o onda coreana.

Grazie infinite a @ilaria_opaque senza la quale questo libro non sarebbe mai esistito, a tutto il team di @add_editore e a @lucrezia.viperina per la splendida copertina.
Ci sono in realtà tante altre persone da ringraziare ma qui lo spazio è poco. Nel libro però vi nomino uno ad uno 🫶🏻

지금까지 아무에게도 말하지 않았지만, 지난 1년 반 동안 책을 썼습니다. 최근 몇 년 동안 한국과 한국 대중문화(K팝, 드라마 등)에 대한 세계적인 관심이 기하급수적으로 증가했으며, 이탈리아에서도 그렇습니다. <K 요인: 한국 대중문화의 부상>에서는 이러한 현상이 어떻게 일어났는지를 설명하고, 널리 퍼진 신화와 고정관념을 불식시키며, 한류를 가능하게 한 맥락을 이해하는 데 도움이 되는 문화적, 사회적 주제를 깊이 있게 탐구하고자 합니다.

이 책은 이탈리아어로 썼지만 미래에 관심이 생기면 한국어, 영어로 번역되길 바라요 🤞🏻 by @paolalaf

first time opening for someone who's got a wikipedia page kinda nervous 😬 not sure whose idea was but jokes aside it's an honour cause big big fan of what he's been doing with / to / for trance!!!
trance was huge in italy when I was a kid and then my brain got fully rewired when at 13 I discovered Ayumi Hamasaki's trance remixes compilations, so planning a set inspired by Insomnia Discoacropoli d'Italia and Velfarre - if you know what I mean, please come!

위키피디아에 페이지까지 있는 분이랑 처음 오프닝을 맡게 되다니 좀 긴장되네요 😬 누가 이런 선택했는진 모르겠는데 진심으로 이분이 트랜스로 트랜스에 트랜스를 위해 해오고 있는 모든 것들을 정말 정말 팬이어서 영광입니다!!!
어릴 때 이탈리아에서 트랜스가 엄청 유행했고 13살 때 하마사키 아유미의 트랜스 리믹스 컴필레이션을 발견하고 뇌가 완전히 개조돼버렸어요. 그래서 Insomnia Discoacropoli d'Italia랑 Velfarre에서 영감받은 셋 준비 중인데 무슨 느낌인지 아는 친구들은 와주세요!

Evian Christ는 영국 엘즈미어 포트를 기반으로 활동하는 뮤지션이자 프로듀서, 뮤직 프로그래머로, Warp Records와 Donda/Sony ATV Publishing에 소속되어 있습니다.
Kanye West와 Travis Scott의 빌보드 차트 정상에 오른 앨범들에 프로듀서로 참여하며 처음 이름을 알렸으며, 이후 전자음악 씬에 지속적인 영향력을 발휘해 온 이벤트 시리즈 TranceParty를 설립했습니다.
최근 몇 년간 그는 독창적이고 실험적인 프로젝트들을 주도하며, 현대 문화 속에서 트랜스 음악이 남긴 유산과 그 의미를 탐구하는 작업을 이어오고 있습니다.

Evian Christ is an Ellesmere Port-based musician, producer and music programmer signed to Warp and Donda/Sony ATV publishing.
Initially finding recognition for his production contributions to billboard-topping albums by Kanye West and Travis Scott, and subsequently as the founder of the enduringly influential TranceParty event series.
Christ’s recent years have seen him lead an idiosyncratic range of projects that enquire into the legacy of Trance in contemporary cultural life.

Seendosi, “PAN-ASIA TRANSIT”
2026 Art Spectrum ARoomWhereEveryRadioIsTunedtoDifferentStations presents “PAN-ASIA TRANSIT”, a music project organized with Seendosi. “PAN-ASIA TRANSIT” is a mobile music performance project that takes the form of a bus tour, offering audiences an opportunity to experience independent music scenes and live performances from across Asia. Taking place on Friday, October 16, 2026, the project unfolds as a day-long journey involving three buses and 120 participants. Along the way, audiences encounter the music and attitudes developed by Asian musicians, as well as the histories and current landscapes of local music scenes across the region. ‘태양의 적’은 누화 컨템포러리(Nuhwa Contemporary)가 주최하는 바셀 압바스(Basel Abbas)와 루안 아부-라흐메(Ruanne Abou-Rahme)의 한국 첫 개인전 《우리가 불이 되고 불이 우리가 될 때까지》의 연계 행사로 기획되었습니다.

마지막 밤에는 두 작가의 작업과 맞닿아 있는 동시대 서울 전자음악의 서로 다른 흐름을 보여주는 아티스트들이 함께합니다.

힙합과 전자음악의 아방가르드를 아우르는 KIM XIMYA, 포스트덥스텝 특유의 깊은 공간감과 UK 베이스의 리듬 문법을 자신만의 방식으로 재구성해온 Mount XLR, 그리고 SoundSupply_Service를 이끄는 최종빈과 익스페리멘탈과 힙합의 언어를 넘나드는 Easymind가 결성한 팀 Digest가 라이브 세트를 선보입니다.

또한 거칠고 비정형적인 사운드를 자유롭게 오가는 Winter Back과 SoundSupply_Service의 기획과 큐레이션을 함께해온 Paola Laf의 DJ 세트가 밤을 이어갑니다.

이날 행사 수익금의 일부는 가자지구의 난민 가족들을 지원하는 사미르 프로젝트 @thesameerproject에 기부됩니다.

Muqata’a는 빌나에스의 공동 창립자이자 팔레스타인 언더그라운드 힙합의 중요한 인물입니다. 아랍 전통 민속 음악의 샘플을 붐뱁, 트립합, 다운템포 비트와 결합해 자신만의 음악 세계를 구축해왔으며, 점령의 현실 속에서 채집한 소리를 통해 해방적인 사운드스케이프를 만들어오고 있습니다.

Bilna’es는 예술가들이 작품의 제작과 유통 과정 안에서 자원을 재분배하며 서로를 지지할 수 있는 새로운 모델을 모색하는 탈학제 플랫폼입니다. 음악, 출판, 퍼포먼스, 설치 등 다양한 형식을 통해 팔레스타인을 비롯한 여러 지역의 예술가들과 협업하고 있습니다.

in @youngmond new book out now via @poetsandpunks along many familiar and friendly faces talking about Korean music from a foreigner-living-in-Korea-and-working-in-music point of view 🤝
We actually did this interview back in 2022, only a year after I moved to Korea(!), and I was worried a bit about how it would hold up today, whether I'd say anything differently or pick different music, but it still feels pretty much true to myself..!
Happy to be part of it and even happier I happened to be in London just in time for the launch parties 🥳
