I still can’t make sense of it. I guess that’s life. We said goodbye way too soon, to my dad last night. He got to be at my wedding and I’m thankful for that. One of my favourite memories of my dad is from when I was maybe 10 or so. I woke up in the night and heard him and his friend Butch who was visiting from out of town playing their guitars in the kitchen. They had a beer bottle with a candle in it glowing. I came in and they played me a song. “Put It There” by Paul McCartney. I had never heard it before, and I never forgot the words. by @papasmytty
