Dangerously relatable. For the ones who felt like they have to achieve something magnificent to deserve a place in this world and for the ones who wished to be someone else.Romance subplot was meh. But I liked how her cousin wasn't necessarily a bad person. Sometimes we just make a rude image of people we are silently competing with in our daily lives while they they are also just trying to go through life and its challenges. This one just hits right. by @paper_back_dreams

☕️What I have been reading lately.I have never felt so stressed and on edge while reading a book. TvT

Random piece of med-school advice: Whenever you do enter the pain of going through a topic for the very first time and understanding it after multiple reads from a long-ass textbook, do yourself a favour and record that concept in your device. Make a playlist. It saved me during my vivas when you have only a few hours to revise stuff and no will to study. And it's very doable rather than making hundreds of sticky notes. by @paper_back_dreams

☕️What do I journal about?

-What I see or observe through out the day.
-What book I am reading or a movie I am watching .
-A new experience.
-A new idea.
-An essay about a strange thought .
-Analyzing a less significant character from a series
-Drawing doodles or maps of places I would like to see.
-About the verses of Quran I study in detail .
-About a person who brought a good/bad change in me.
-Quotes.

✍️🏻Journaling also helps you with improving which is basically thinking about your own thinking which I think is a supercool concept.

🫡Gonna do a few mini reviews soon after I am done with my current reads. Then we start CRIMES AND PUNISHMENT🪄. by @paper_back_dreams

Signs I am not over this book

I am beginning to develop a deep affection towards long books which is part of the reason why I don't meet my reading goals but that's not what I am talking about. >_<

I am talking about how I am a little different after every long read.A bit more calm.A bit more patient .How without my knowing it made me averse to the short form content like I am not even exaggerating even a good movie didn't give me that level of satisfaction that I got from completing a thoughtful read .It linger on me so often. I keep thinking about it for days.I know its true for all the good books. But a long book makes you its companion. Every day for months you are following these characters and their llore like a show that goes on far too many seasons. That's how I feel about reading the count of monte cristo. Its like sailing in a ship with Edmond Dantes and asking what he is planning nextI might not read many books but I love the few I do with all my heart and such is the joy of reading.

🍵Qotd: Best book you read in 2025? by @paper_back_dreams

The Count of Monte Cristo annotations ✍️🏻🍵

🎀One thing I did ,which improved my reading experience, was to write a short summary of each chapter at the end. And did a little digging about the historical background which made the boring chapters interesting.
Also HOW DID I NOT post a 2025 wrap up??
Ps I didn't get to complete my reading goals of 2025(in my defense I started medschool😭).

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH.

📖I love how th Count started a domino effect without actually taking responsibility of what goes on around him.
I have 200 pages left .This book has seen so much.It traveled so many places with me from anatomy classses to bus stations. It was like a constant companion to me when life changed so much.I am not ready to say goodbye.
