origami explorer, teacher, jewelry maker, baker, knitter... and a big dreamer!

$I am not 100% sure if this is a new model under the origami sun, yet for me it is and moreover, I am super happy as I also found a satisfying folding sequence where the model is built layer by layer, not by annoyingly ling prefolding. I spent hours searching for the reasonable sequence as I wanted something that would be foldable also by other people, not just by a small group of advanced origami folks who can fold from CP. So, here it is, I call it Lotus Fractal for now. 1 hexagon, no cuts, no glue, 1 toothpick... [I brough a rough draft of something slightly similar to Polish convention and I couldn't stop playing with it. @mkosmul was the best person to discuss this with as his work on figuring out many Fujimoto's hexagonal models is very inspiring. I may show you later all the drafts and unclean tries.] #origamistar #origamifractal #paperain #lotusfractal #paperfolding by @paperain$

20th convention of Polish Origami Association (Polskie towarzystvo Origami) in Rogów... I had a wonderful time, met many beautiful inspiring people, and I folded a lot after a long origami hiatus... still surfing on the folding wave :)

$I have a wonderful time in German origami convention in Bonn this last weekend! This model was designed for Origami convention in Bogota where I was invited as a special guest in 2024. And now I keep teaching it wherever I go ;) Folded from 30 cm of kami paper, with 5 layers, and only a small rip in the centre :) we can use it as a proof that kami is a solid paper suitable for many types of folding not only the simple ones... #origami #yellow #colombiansun #paperain #paperfractal by @paperain$

Lyon doodle :) aka white flower. On my way to #ooraa convention. I wasn't folding much in the last 2 months, but train rides are usually quite fruitful #trainorigami #foldedflower #whiteflower #origami many #tunnels on the way with no internet connection :D #paperfolding #hexagon by @paperain

Green failure 😅 or whatever we call it 😁 You may have seen it already in my stories, but here's a complete version. Folded from a transparent crispy paper (a bit too crispy, so it cracked ;)) But seeing these white folds appear on the paper was like a magic! 32-sided regular polygon #origami #paperain #paperfolding #green #papermagic #foldedgeometry by @paperain

Sound is subtle, yet it co-creates the addictive vibe when you play with it. It's hard to stop. This one yet with more sides: a simplified flower tower sequence folded from 24-gon (24-sided regular polygon) of brown pacon paper, 22 cm (~9").
