I don’t want to make a habit of posting rants like this, but this is something I needed to get off my chest.
I will always be an avid supporter of indie comics and creators. Whether it’s with my own money, or helping spread the word. Don’t let anybody lie to you. I love #kickstarter. I hate backerkit. I love the indie comic community and crowdfunded books. I hate #backerkit.

I treated myself to some new bookshelves, which was long overdue, and I finally had the time to put them together over the weekend. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s been a while since I’ve posted a shelfie. This is just the non-Marvel/DC section. Anybody wanna guess my favorite publisher? 🤪

These are the IKEA Billy bookshelves and I swear by them, for anyone in the market for new shelves.

It’s time once again time for the best day of the week. It’s NEW COMIC BOOK DAY!!
We’ve got Ninja Turtles. We’ve got Transformers. We’ve got Power Rangers. We’ve got Radiant Black kicking off a new story arc. There’s a lot of heat coming out this week.

What new comics did you pick up today?

Every once in a while this whole idea of putting out content feels like more of a chore than a hobby.
Sometimes trying to be consistent is hard but that doesn’t mean you need to quit altogether. Don’t be afraid to reset. by @paperback_dan

It’s the best day of the week again. It’s New Comic Book Day!! This week was light for me, but it was loaded with @zackkaps books. Plus I bought a DC book. Don’t see that every week.

What new books did you pick this week?

Here’s some #mondaymotivation for you.

One of the absolute highlights of my @baltimorecomiccon experience was witnessing, firsthand, this full circle moment for my guy Thadd, the writer and creator of @solarthesovereign. He got the opportunity to meet one of his comic heroes, and even sold him the first two issues of his own book, Solar the Sovereign. Which in no small part is thanks to @konkretcomics for publishing his book, and to @adventcomics for making last weekend what it was.
You honestly never know where chasing a dream might get you.

I love comics.
