In 2013 I took to the stands of the racecourse in Mannheim to play at @maifeld_derby To this day it remains one of my favourite memories of touring, and so often I'll run into fans at shows who heard me play there for the first time. All's to say I was absolutely made up when they asked me back for this special one day festival on the 15th August.

Under the moniker Paper Beat Scissors Tim Crabtree stitches delicate and intricate tapestries of songs threaded through by an unmistakable haunting voice. Alongside 3 albums and 4 EPs the Montréal/Berlin-based Brit has featured on the cover CD of Rolling Stone and been labelled „startling and beautiful“ by BBC Radio’s „Whispering“ Bob Harris. Crabtree has shared the stage with Martha Wainwright, Sun Kil Moon and Great Lake Swimmers and performed at Maifeld Derby and Rolling Stone Weekender festivals amongst many others.
