Still feeling the echoes of the AMAE NO KŌZŌ premiere - here’s a short excerpt from the 𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘦:
two people searching for connection, but never quite in the right moment.

"AMAE NO KŌZŌ" istražuje složenu dinamiku suovisnosti u ljudskim odnosima, čežnju za pasivno primljenom ljubavlju i potrebu za popustljivošću drugoga. Djelo se kreće kroz tenziju između izlaska iz vlastite zone komfora i povlačenja u sigurnost, otkrivajući univerzalne obrasce suovisnosti i krhku ravnotežu između privrženosti i autonomije.

Kroz analizu različitih oblika odnosa, predstava razotkriva složenost ljudske povezanosti, naglašavajući ličnu i kolektivnu prirodu ovisnosti u savremenom svijetu.

For the 5th jubilee edition of SCDI 2026, Art Alive, in collaboration with @festivalmess, presents the Brussels-based company @paperbridgeofficial and internationally renowned artists Eliana Stragapede @elianastragapede (ITA/BEL) and Borna Babić @borna_b (CRO/BEL). 🔥

Currently on its world tour, AMAE NO KŌZŌ explores the intricate dynamics of co-dependency in human relationships - the longing to be passively loved, the search for another’s indulgence, and the delicate balance between vulnerability, protection and autonomy.

Amae no Kōzō porta in scena il punto d'arrivo di un percorso iniziato nel 2022: la creazione vincitrice del Copenhagen International Choreography Competition, il duetto che ha attraversato i palcoscenici di mezza Europa, il lavoro che Eliana Stragapede e Borna Babić hanno scelto di riscrivere fino a trovarne la forma definitiva.

A heartfelt thank you to @xiexin1023 and the incredible dancers and team of Xiexin Dance Theatre for bringing this work to life.

Set in a liminal space between life and death, Murmur follows lost souls searching for connection, hope, and a way forward - revealing the shared humanity that binds us all.

Amae no Kōzō ovvero anatomia della dipendenza affettiva: cosa ci tiene insieme, cosa ci spinge ad andarcene, e perché spesso non sappiamo con certezza quale scelta - tra fuggire e restare - sia la migliore per noi.

Eliana Stragapede e Borna Babić lo raccontano in prima nazionale, per due sere soltanto, il 26 e 27 settembre alle Fonderie Limone.
