Well. I ended up hopping off trail and am currently heading back home to Arkansas.

In 2018 on my PCT hike i scratched my cornea pretty bad on a down tree in Washington. To this day in dry climates it re-tears / reopens causing pain, light sensitivity, perfuse watering, throws off depth perception and lots of other issues.

I've gone to an optometrist about this issue in the past and he gave me drops but the drops didn't help while i was on trail.

ALSO. I've come to the conclusion that I've been chasing this HIGH that i felt back in 2018 on trail. And i don't know if I'll ever feel that exact same way i felt on that thru hike, but that's okay. 2018 was a special year, and even though it resulted in my eye bring messed up even two years later i still would do it all over again.
