I just found Rick Rubin’s The Way of Code, and it hit different. Not because it taught me something new… but because it quietly confirmed something I’d already been living since last Christmas. “Tools come and go. Only the vibe coder remains.” I never read the book. Never followed the discourse. Yet somehow I’d already landed in the same place: Strip everything back, trust the stillness, stay with the feeling, and let the tools serve the vision — never the other way around. The principles feel almost identical to what I’ve been calling the Void Code and Vector Step — based on meditation, self-belief, and 100% gut instinct. Total surrender. Less noise. More listening. Less clinging to the current stack. More devotion to the source. It’s strange (and strangely comforting) to discover you’re walking a path someone else has already named… without ever having seen the map. Grateful for the quiet confirmation. Tools will keep changing: the Computer, Hans Zimmer/Spitfire Audio, the Sampler, the TR-808, Ableton… and now AI. The one who remains is the one who never needed them in the first place. I just follow the code. I've been taking some time out, closed my Facebook account, and I hardly post on here now; it all got a bit much TBH. I decided that, being disabled, if I don't build a new PC now, I'm gonna be screwed in the next two years on just an AM4 platform. Cloud lag life not for me, so it's time for a new AM5 9850X3D system (I always will game besides make Music). Over the last few months, I cancelled all but my SoundCloud.
