It's been a while since I updated projects I worked on here (or anything, really)... I'd love to share an amazing book that I had the pleasure of working on this year! "The Good Girl is Burned Out" is a very relatable read and our creative process was very interesting and unique, in a way. I worked with @joboltcreates on the cover and we had the cover she loved but something wasn't connecting... And then Jo saw a beautiful painting by a local artist, @zoepawlak. We managed to license the artwork for book cover use and this beauty came to life! Do you want to see other ideas we've worked on? Swipe the image!

I highly recommend reading this book! You can find it on Amazon! by @paperwing.studio

It makes me so happy to see my writers publishing another book (which means the first one was successful 🔥) and coming back to me for the design 😍 New book from @melissa.giomi is out now! This time, we also put together bookmarks for in-person signing events 🤩

You know, designing a cover for a book series to be similar and different at the same time is more challenging than starting with a clean canvas... Did I nail it? 🧐 taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @paperwing.studio

I’m grateful I could be a part of this project as I had a personal connection to it. I have been following the war in Ukraine since the beginning with a broken heart... I wished I could be back in Poland then to be able to help more than from afar. Sadly, the war isn’t over... 💔

This book is proof of what we’re capable of in the face of crisis and a heartwarming personal story of a man who decided to help despite the odds. Dan’s book is available on Amazon! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @paperwing.studio

I love heartwarming stories like this one! Even more, I enjoy designing for them ❤️ This is Pine Street Piper, one of my most recent book projects that I had pleasure working on. Printed in Canada (which doesn't happen often these days), in a small run. Probably won't be available on Amazon but in some local bookstores around Vancouver 😍 taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @paperwing.studio

Is it only me or sun and summer vibes works magic on your flow, commitment and productivity? 🌞💪🔥

I spent almost all my after-work time outside and it gives me so much energy, inspiration and ideas that I don’t mind spending work hours in front of the screen! Does your writing benefits from the sun or not? Let me know in the comments! taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @paperwing.studio

I’ve had so many questions about the design process from my clients and prospects and I’ve compiled all the answers in this free guide!

This guide is for you if...
✒️You’re self-publishing a book
✒️You want to know why the book cover is soooo important
✒️You’d like save time on googling all-book-design-things because you don’t know much (or nothing at all) about designing your cover and formatting your interior
✒️You’re looking for help in creating your dream book cover but don’t know where to start
✒️You feel overwhelmed with the whole self-publishing process and want to divide it into digestive bites
✒️You were so focused on the writing itself that you didn’t even thought about what comes after… Spoiler alert: you need cover and well-designed interior!

BONUS:
You’ll also get the Book Design Checklist that complements the guide AND will keep you on track and support your publishing goals! 🚀📚📑🔥

I always knew I didn’t want to be a teacher. Whenever someone wanted me to teach them something I knew, I told them that I hated teaching and I'm no good at it 🙈

And guess what? I was wrong! 🤯

I was lucky to present a few webinars this year to writers on book design, and I absolutely loved it! Sharing knowledge when I'm passionate about the topic doesn’t feel like teaching. It simply feels like sharing my love for book design! That’s probably obvious for many but it’s my newest discovery this year 😄 And that’s exactly why I’m so happy being an entrepreneur - I get to learn and grow in ways I would’ve never imagined! 🥰🙏

It’s not all about the books! I also work with businesses on their layout needs, including catalogues, brochures, reports and some special design projects 🙂 I had so much fun working on brochures for @tatras_group! I must admit, It was a bit challenging as - let’s be honest - I know nothing about the industry but thanks to great collaboration and communication with their specialists we nailed it! Did we?

If you know anyone who needs help with marketing design - send them my way and I’ll be happy to chat and see if we’re a fit!

At the end of 2022 I had a pleasure of working with an amazing team from @Legible on fully accessible ebook production of “What’s Our Problem" for @Waitbutwhy. I provided creative direction for the interior and coding wizards in Legible took it and made the book fully accessible, responsive and customizable! 🤯

It was fun project that required to come out of my "preparing-for-print-first comfort zone” and come up with a layout that will work in different formats on different screens from the beginning. Loved the process 🔥 Go to Legible to see the cool stuff (like Legible bus in Toronto!) there brewing! 💯
