PapiVivi in Lynn. One of my all time favorite sandwich shops. Known for their Tripleta & Chopped Cheese sandwiches, incredible rice bowls & even his NY style Pizza. Sam has Brooklyn ties & has lived in both Boston & New York. He has a passion for making great Puerto Rican food. The name PapiVivi derives from his bond with his daughter. He’s a real family man & stand up guy. Every time I come by here I enjoy my time, between the food & Sam’s company.

The parking situation is a bit tough and it’s more of a grab & go kind of joint but it’s 100% worth going to. You’re not gonna find sandwiches like this elsewhere in this area. Because of his New York roots I thought it would be a good idea to rap over a Jay-Z beat. I hope yall enjoyed. CORILLO!!!

Gil took a listener recommendation and hit up Papi Vivi in Lynn, a tiny hole in the wall on Boston Street, and it did not disappoint.

The verdict: the Tripleta is unbelievable, a 9.1, and Gil’s already thinking about going back for it. JC’s chopped cheese got an 8.2, the pizza a 7.5, and the famous Vivi sauce might need its own trip to buy in bulk.
