One Wheel Drive. Personal work rooted in my love of cycling, the mechanics, the sport, and everything it gives back.

A bicycle is a tool with one job: to get you somewhere far, with speed and economy—and yet the best ones are striking. Visual language works the same way. Things can simply be legible, or with craft and intention, legibility becomes something beautiful.

For me, graphic design is a verb, communication in action, physical in craft. And maybe that’s exactly why the bicycle is the best invention ever made, a tool—physical in expression. by @papipong

Further explorations for my fictional House music imprint, ANIMAL HOUSE — this time going full weight. Industrial black paint for the most uncompromising clubs and warehouse parties.

Each horse is an illustrated figure contained within a square, stacked and locked together to build the pattern. The tight grid threw up some surprising details — the kind that only emerge when the math is right. In slides 4 and 5 you’ll notice the hoof of the horse above curves seamlessly into the mane of the one below, and the H’s black box aligns tangentially to another horse’s head tucked just behind it.

These moments of tension and harmony that reveal themselves as the work develops is my kind of magic. Fibonacci would approve. by @papipong

Ten years of Imanishi. Hard to believe it’s been a decade since we shaped the identity of a restaurant that’s become part of Toronto’s own. What started as a design project grew into deep friendships, community and collaborators who’ve supported my work from day one.

A huge thank you and congrats to Shori, Dahna and the entire team who make the restaurant what it is—their work, care and consistency are the reason Imanishi stands as a true Toronto institution.

Here’s to the next chapter with the best music, sake, highballs and plates in the city.
