Hit Parader is fast becoming my favorite room in Nashville. I’m having nights stacked with acoustic performers, heavy metal original bands & so many respectful beautiful souls in attendance.
Yesterday was no acception as Monte and the Monsters dominated the stage for 4 hours straight.
I was essentially there the entire night (I left so my friend could locate some karaoke & an uber)
They burned it down before a room of great enthusiasm and a handful of talented singers who got to make cameos up on stage.
WOW! I’m honored to have been a small part of their journey 3 odd years back (I saw them go from Johnny Cash’s Bar to JBJs back in the day to much delight)

What would it feel like for a natural disaster to apologize to you? This cinematic folk song explores the impossible atonement of hurricane Helene, personified as someone coming out of a psychotic break and destructive episode, realizing all the damage she’s done to her home and lives she’s destroyed. Wounded licks on a resonator and mournful strings build the world of a post-storm Asheville. Written by Lani Watson and Ari Pappalardo (inspired by his family experience from North Carolina) and produced by Gage Clark. The release show on 9/28 is a fundraiser marking the second year since the storm. There’s nothing I’d rather do with my time than put on a night of extreme talent. I’m glad @tnbrewworks allowed us to use their space.

I had a splendid day marauding around the historic streets of black mountain. Buildings as old as 1840, or so I was told.
I met many who had played the Grand Ole Opry & also once had chicken with Johnny Cash & June Carter.
I had inexpensive beers with priceless human beings.
I even found fantastic live music on a Tuesday night and bribed some passers by to come join the music.
(I bought them some beers & they obliged and tipped the artist on their way out the door)
Black Mountain.
Oh yeah, this guitar was on the way at Old Town District.
