Since taking office in May 2021, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and the DMK government have introduced several welfare and development schemes in Tamil Nadu, focusing on education, women's empowerment, healthcare, employment, and economic development. These initiatives reflect the government's stated commitment to social justice and improving the lives of ordinary people.
Among the major schemes introduced or expanded under his government are:
Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam: Provides eligible women heads of households with ₹1,000 monthly financial assistance to support their economic independence.
Vidiyal Payanam: Offers free travel for women on ordinary-fare government city and town buses, helping reduce daily travel expenses and improve access to work and education.
Pudhumai Penn: Provides eligible girl students from government schools with ₹1,000 per month while pursuing higher education, encouraging them to continue their studies.

This historic photograph captures the close relationship between C.N. Annadurai (Anna) and M. Karunanidhi (Kalaignar), two influential leaders of the Dravidian movement in Tamil Nadu.
On April 22, 1967, Anna, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, presented Karunanidhi, then Minister for Public Works, with an award for his outstanding screenplay during 1966–67. The ceremony took place at Rajaji Hall in Madras (now Chennai).
The photograph reflects Karunanidhi's remarkable dual legacy as a political leader and a creative writer. His contributions to Tamil cinema helped bring social justice, equality, and rationalist ideas to the public through powerful dialogues and screenplays. The recognition from Anna highlights the respect Karunanidhi earned for his literary achievements alongside his political service. by @paraasakthiii

❤️🖤 by @paraasakthiii

The DMK is often supported by students and families who believe that education is the foundation of social justice, equality, and a brighter future. Under M. K. Stalin's leadership, the Tamil Nadu government has introduced several initiatives to support students, improve educational opportunities, and make learning more accessible. The Chief Minister's Breakfast Scheme helps government school children begin their day with nutritious food, while Pudhumai Penn provides ₹1,000 per month to eligible girl students pursuing higher education after studying in government schools from Classes 6 to 12. The Naan Mudhalvan scheme focuses on skill development, career guidance, and employability, helping young people prepare for the job market. Through Illam Thedi Kalvi and Ennum Ezhuthum, the government has also worked to improve foundational learning and address learning gaps. The image highlights the importance of libraries and access to knowledge, reflecting the government's efforts to strengthen public libraries and encourage reading habits. For many supporters, these initiatives are reasons to support the DMK: they represent an investment in students, educational equality, and the hope that every child—regardless of family income—can pursue their dreams through education. by @paraasakthiii

Some love stories are not written in fairy tales; they are written through a lifetime of togetherness. M. K. Stalin and Durga Stalin’s journey began decades ago, and their marriage has grown alongside the many responsibilities of family and public life. Through the years, Durga has spoken about how Stalin encouraged her to write and supported her in documenting their life together in her book Avarum Naanum. Their story reminds us that love is not just about holding hands during happy moments; it is also about patience, understanding, encouragement, and standing beside one another through life's challenges. In a world where everything changes, a bond built over decades carries its own special beauty. For admirers who see them as one of Tamil Nadu’s most cherished couples, Thalapathy Stalin and Durga Amma represent a beautiful picture of lifelong companionship—two hearts sharing one journey, growing older together, and building a family filled with memories. by @paraasakthiii
