🌿S E A S O N A L E X P R E S S I O N🌿

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much for getting us here. We’re proud to present to you our very first full length album, Seasonal Expression.

“Seasonal Expression, the opposite of seasonal depression, is a celebration of the process of overcoming. Of growth, of rebirth, of the ebb and flow of life and its cycles.

Just as the cold winter always seems to give way to the green spring, may too the dark seasons of your life give way to brighter futures; may we always embrace what’s coming next.”

It belongs to you now, treat it with care 💕 taken in Chicago, Illinois by @parachutedayil

• Happy 10 years of Thank You Notes 🌳📕🍃

It’s absolutely insane to think that my little college capstone project EP turns 10 today. I had NO idea what I was doing when it came to recording music and making it sound good LOL but I knew in my soul that I needed to do it and that my life depended on it. Me and my blue Epiphone Les Paul and my Scarlet Focusrite against the world. To this day it’s still one of my proudest accomplishments, flaws and all.

It’s been really wonderful to see how many people have connected with this EP over the years. I can tell it’s really special to you guys and it keeps me motivated for this band.

I found pictures from the last 10 years that showcase how much change has occurred within this project and to reflect on all the dope experiences that have blossomed since our first EP. I have some exciting plans pertaining to Thank You Notes for the rest of the year, the first of which will be available this Friday 4/17.

Thanks for 10 amazing years. Spin Thank You Notes today and stay tuned 💚

Really love how this Parachute Day vinyl came out. Down to the last 25 copies of this variant - grab it now if you want it!

Packed with a smooth blend of melodic riffs & a healthy dose of atmosphere, this album seamlessly blends instrumental flash with heavy and deep grooves. The songwriting is super tight knit along with the production. It's a really fun and emotive album - chord progression wise it leans emo but instrumentally it's got a ton of nods to math rock/progressive music.

Seasonal Expression is a great album to start your day with, do your dishes to, or just hang and put on. It's got a ton of dynamic contrast and fits well in so many moments and different contexts of life.

FFO: And So I Watched You From Afar, Vasudeva, Standards

Big thanks to Justin @alleycatvinyl2 for crushing the photos as always 💗 by @parachutedayil
