STOP sabotaging your Feng Shui in ways you don’t even notice. Feng Shui isn’t about being perfect. It’s about making sure your home isn’t quietly blocking the exact life you’re trying to create. πŸ›‘ STOP keeping shoes + clutter at the front door In classical Feng Shui, the entrance is the mouth of chi. It’s where wealth, opportunities, and supportive energy enter your life. If it’s blocked, cramped, or chaotic, you’re literally stopping good fortune at the gate. πŸ›‘ STOP keeping guilt gifts Every unwanted item carries a subtle emotional weight. Your space should feel intentional and supportive, not filled with objects you’re keeping out of obligation. πŸ›‘ STOP using real plants in the bedroom Most people don’t realize many plants release carbon dioxide at night, even though they produce oxygen during the day. From a practical perspective, that’s not ideal in a room meant for deep rest and restoration. Energetically, too many plants in a bedroom can feel like sleeping in a jungle. Subconsciously making you feel unsafe and on high alert. πŸ›‘ STOP putting family photos on the fridge The fridge is cold, heavy energy. If the goal is warmth and closeness, don’t place your most personal relationships on something that symbolically freezes them. Move those photos somewhere that feels alive and connected. πŸ›‘ STOP placing your desk where your back is to the door If your back is exposed, your reptilian brain stays on alert, even if you don’t consciously notice it. In Feng Shui, you want a power position: a solid wall behind you, a clear view of the door, and a workspace that makes you feel supported, focused, and in control. Your home is always giving you feedback. Clean up the message, and your life responds. #FengShuiConsultant #FengShuiTips #FengShuiHome #HomeEnergy InteriorEnergy by @paradis_maison
My Feng Shui fail… and I really should have known better. 😳 During our renovation, I accidentally shifted my home from a Period 8 house into a Period 9 house. In Classical Feng Shui, time is fundamental. A change of period can alter the Flying Star energies throughout the home, which means areas that were previously supported or activated may suddenly require a completely different approach. And the biggest issue for me? My front door. The front door is one of the most important areas of a home in Feng Shui because it is a primary point through which external chi enters and interacts with the house. Once my home shifted into Period 9, the energy at my front door was completely different from the Period 8 chart I had been working with. That meant going back through the house, recalculating the chart and changing activations and remedies to work with the home’s new Period 9 energies. Was this my finest Feng Shui moment? Absolutely not. πŸ˜‚ But I’m sharing my Feng Shui fail because it illustrates something incredibly important: good Feng Shui isn’t static. A house exists within time as well as space, and significant changes to the building can sometimes change the energetic framework you’re working with. Even the Feng Shui consultant occasionally has to Feng Shui her own Feng Shui. πŸ˜‰ #fengshuifail #fengshuitips #fengshuimaster #fengshuihome #fengshuilifestyle by @paradis_maison
Did Marilyn Monroe’s home foreshadow her fate? Today I went down a Feng Shui Marilyn Monroe rabbit hole, and what I discovered about her Brentwood home was astonishing. Etched into the entrance were the Latin words β€œCursum Perficio,” meaning β€œmy journey ends here.” The house also sits at the end of a cul-de-sac, literally a dead-end road. From a Feng Shui perspective, this type of placement is associated with completion rather than growth, and the symbolism is difficult to ignore. When I examined the floor plan, it revealed something even more striking. The home was missing several key areas β€” the Southwest, West, Northeast, and even the Center β€” a rare and significant imbalance. The Southwest relates to motherhood and nurturing. Marilyn was raised without stable maternal support and longed to become a mother, yet experienced multiple miscarriages. The West represents children and joy, symbolically reflecting the absence of children in her life. The Northeast is associated with grounding and inner stability, suggesting a life that may have felt emotionally unanchored. The Center represents overall harmony and balance, and when compromised, it can create instability across many areas of life. In contrast, the most dominant parts of the house were located in the South and Southeast. The South is associated with fame and recognition, while the Southeast relates to wealth and abundance. Both were fully intact, aligning perfectly with Marilyn Monroe’s extraordinary celebrity and financial success. The Northwest, connected to support from influential men, also appeared to be intact, reflecting the presence of powerful male figures throughout her life and career. Her bedroom added another layer of intrigue. Low beams ran vertically across the bed, which in Feng Shui symbolise pressure and division in intimate relationships, an effect intensified by the relatively low ceiling. A fireplace in the South would have further amplified her fame, while a skylight above the bed is generally not conducive to restful sleep and can contribute to emotional and mental unrest. #fengshuiexpert #fengshuitips #marilyn_monroe #marilynmonroefan #fengshuihome by @paradis_maison

I recently heard a beautiful metaphor from Steve Harvey that really stayed with me. He spoke about how a plant can only grow to the size of the pot it’s placed in. And it’s so true. Sometimes there is nothing wrong with the plant. Nothing wrong with the timing. Nothing wrong with the effort. The container is simply too small for the life that is trying to emerge. In Feng Shui, we see this every day. Your environment is not just a backdrop to your life. It is the container that either supports your expansion… or quietly limits it. And this goes deeper than most people realise. Sometimes the β€œtoo small pot” looks like: β€’ a home that feels heavy, cluttered, or stagnant β€’ a bedroom that does not allow true rest β€’ a front door that does not invite opportunity β€’ relationships that subtly drain your energy β€’ environments that no longer match who you are becoming Feng Shui is both external and internal. Yes, we work with the home. But we are also working with the energetic ecosystem you live inside every day. If you have been feeling stuck, cramped, or strangely held back, it may be worth asking a different question. Not β€œWhat is wrong with me?” But β€œIs the container I’m living in still the right one for who I am becoming?” I have always loved Steve Harvey’s ability to take complex life truths and express them with such clarity and heart. This metaphor is a beautiful reminder that growth often requires a new container. Save this for the moment you realise you have outgrown where you are. πŸ’› β€” #classicalfengshui #fengshuiprinciples #fengshuiconsultant #alignedhome #fengshuiexpert by @paradis_maison
What not to do in a Fire Horse year is very clear. Do not live in almost. Do not ignore the first red flag. Do not shrink for anyone’s comfort. Do not wait for permission to move. Do not let your home hold old energy. Do not stay in stale rooms. Do not play tiny to avoid being seen. In Feng Shui, Fire energy increases speed and visibility. It brings pressure to what is blocked, and momentum to what is aligned. If something suddenly feels uncomfortable, it is usually because the qi has stopped tolerating delay. Here is something practical you can do this week: 1. Clear one β€œstuck” zone in your home A pile, a drawer, a corner, a hallway. Anything unfinished creates stagnant qi. 2. Remove obvious relationship residue Ex photos on display, gifts that carry a charge, items stored β€œjust in case.” Put them away or release them. 3. Create movement at the entry Clear the path, wipe the door, refresh the threshold. The mouth of qi sets the tone. 4. Make one clean decision One boundary. One action. One move you have been postponing. If you want, comment β€œFIRE HORSE” and tell me which area of life you want to activate (love, money, career, health). I’ll reply with one specific Feng Shui action. #firehorse2026 #firehorse #horseyear2026 #fengshuitips #paradismaison by @paradis_maison

Feng Shui is the difference between becoming a queen bee or staying a worker bee. Queen bees and worker bees start genetically the same. The queen becomes the queen because of royal jelly. Nothing changed but her environment, her marinade. Your home is doing the same thing to you. Your home is not a neutral background. It is nourishment. It shapes your capacity, your energy, and what you can hold. Feng Shui is not about money, love, or abundance for their own sake. It is about what receiving those things allows you to become. It is about building the container that allows you to become your most transformed, ideal version of yourself. You only become that version of you inside the right environment. If you want the queen bee version of you, tell me in the comments what you want your home to support this year: love, money, calm, focus, or confidence, and I’ll tell you where to start. #queenbeeenergy #beekeepersofinstagram #fengshuiconsultant #fengshuiwisdom #fengshuilife by @paradis_maison
Happy Chinese Fire Horse Lunar New Year. Last year was the Snake. Snake years are not about speed. They are about shedding. Releasing what no longer fits. Outgrowing old patterns. Letting things fall away. It may have felt slow. Or heavy. Or frustrating. But that was the clearing. Now the Fire Horse arrives. This is not a year to hesitate. It is a year to choose clearly and move. Stop circling decisions you already know the answer to. Stop carrying what you have outgrown. Stop waiting for a sign. In Feng Shui, momentum needs structure. Strengthen the front door. Stabilise your office. Protect the centre of your home. Remove anything that no longer serves you. Not just tidy. Remove. Get rid of the files, the objects, the reminders, the clutter that belongs to a version of you that is finished. Make the space. Because plenty is coming in. This year rewards bold, clean action. Run. Leap. Commit. Take the step. Then take the next one. Ride the momentum. Forward this to your future self. She’s already there! #firehorse2026 #horseyear2026 #fengshuitips #fengshuinewyear #chinesenewyear2026 by @paradis_maison
Plants in the bedroom? No. Yes, plants photosynthesize during the day. But at night, that process stops for most plants and they respire instead. A few plants won’t make any meaningful dent in your bedroom air. If you packed the room like a greenhouse, it could matter more. But the biggest effect is nervous system tone. When you surround your bed with dense greenery, your brain reads it as wild terrain, jungle energy, subtle alertness. A bedroom should signal safety, stillness, and deep rest. Classical Feng Shui keeps the bedroom simple: leave the plants outside. #fengshuitips #fengshuiconsultant #fengshuihome #fengshuilosangeles #plantsforeveryone by @paradis_maison

2025 is the Snake Year and it is the preparation year for everything the Horse will bring. The Snake asks us to shed our old skin. This is the time to release habits that no longer serve you, to examine your patterns honestly and to break the cycles that have held your spirit back. Intergenerational wounds, toxic relationships and emotional clutter all need to be addressed now so they do not follow you into the next cycle. Clear the clutter from your mind. Clear the clutter from your home. Anything that feels heavy, outdated or attached to an old version of you cannot come with you into the Horse Year. The Snake helps you redefine who you are becoming so your future is not shaped by your past. Once 2026 arrives, the Horse brings passion, exhilaration and speed. It is a year of freedom, decisive action, leadership and innovation. Momentum will rise quickly and opportunities will appear without warning. But speed without intention is chaos. You must know where you want to go before the Horse begins to move. Use the Snake Year to shed, refine and realign. Enter the Horse Year with clarity and a home that supports your direction. When your intentions are clear, the Horse amplifies everything you set in motion. The Horse Year carries the energy and the frequency to take you to your goals so long as you know what they are. #ParadisMaison #SnakeYear #HorseYear #FengShui2026 #FengShuiTips by @paradis_maison
